So this practice is being recorded in honor of August 8th,
Or 8-8,
Infinite Possibilities Day.
And it's in honor of the infinite possibilities that are open to us at all times,
At all days,
So this practice is certainly available and accessible to you on any day of the year.
Really just sort of sitting with the practice of infinity and playing with that.
So I invite you to really begin by getting comfortable,
Whether you're seated or laying down or standing,
Wherever you are in the world,
In space,
And in time.
Let the body land and be comfortable.
Dropping shoulders down,
Relaxing the tongue behind the bottom teeth.
And just taking a few full and complete rounds of breath.
Breathing in the nose or in the mouth and expanding the belly.
And exhaling,
Long,
Releasing breath,
Again out the nose or out the mouth,
And using the diaphragm and the belly to release the breath.
And any sighs or yawns.
And then just inviting the breath to drop you into your space,
Into physical body,
Into physical moment.
Taking a quiet pause.
Let this pause be a pause in your day,
A pause in your week,
A pause in your life.
A pause in that constant stream of thought and sensory information coming in.
A pause just to sit with yourself.
Noticing where the hands have landed.
Noticing your fingers,
Palms of hands.
Just a bit of concentration,
You might notice a bit of pulsation or vibration in palms of hands.
Soft and subtle like your heartbeat.
Energy of creation,
Vibrating in the palms of your hands.
These hands that do so much in the world.
Hands that bring to life infinite number of possibilities.
The presence of creation.
Drawing awareness up,
Drawing the eyes up,
All the muscles of the face,
Sort of relaxing down towards the earth.
And yet I invite you to draw the eyebrows up towards the hairline.
Draw the eyes sort of to the center of the brow.
This is known as Shambhavi Mudra.
And I hope you're familiar with this sign of infinity.
And it's very much like the two hemispheres of the brain.
So I invite you,
Whether using the physical eyes and moving them into that sort of figure eight pattern,
Or using your awareness just to move from right hemisphere into that pattern,
Crossing over into left side of brain,
Left hemisphere.
And let the place that these two circles cross be in the brow.
And if you can,
Somehow matching your breath with these circles,
Maybe inhaling in one direction or one circle and exhaling for the other.
If you want something a little bit more tangible,
You can also use your dominant hand and sort of draw that sign of infinity out in front of you or sort of trace it somewhere using a finger even.
Place of focus continues to come back into the brow,
The bridge of the nose.
So that our intention is to really bring that equanimity,
That balance into both sides of the brain.
Taking just a few more moments in that practice.
Gradually really just inviting your eyes to come to rest.
Eyelids soft,
Eyelashes gently resting.
All the muscles around the eyes yielding down.
Focused still into that single point.
So drawing away from physical eyes,
Tuning into spiritual eye.
And just breathing,
Breathing into that point of focus.
It might be like half of the awareness is really resting into that physical space of the brow and the other half of the awareness really watching breath.
The rise of your inhale and how it expands the body.
The departure of your exhale and how it draws away from body.
And the breath moving just like a wave through you.
Moving into the thoughts.
Moving just like a wave in the field of the mind.
The great ocean of awareness.
Getting a sense for that expanse of ocean,
Expanse of all possible thoughts,
All possible creations.
Infinity stretching in every direction.
And you might notice that wherever you focus.
In that expanse of mental awareness,
Those thoughts seem to grow and just to ripple a little bit more predominantly or more often.
But that no matter how large the wave of thought.
That all thoughts return into stillness in that ocean of possibility.
And that there exists a pause.
Just as in the breath between inhale and exhale.
Between exhale and inhale.
There is a pause.
So too is there a pause.
However small,
However expansive.
Between each thought.
Resting into pause.
Resting into pause.
Resting into pause.
And watching from that royal seat of stillness.
All the movement.
All the possibilities.
As they unfolds within you and around you.
Moving through you.
Resting into pause.
Resting into pause.
And with awareness in the third eye or in the brow.
You might ask yourself something about your life path or your life purpose.
Any question that is pressing and you've been seeking an answer to.
Bringing all your focus into that single point.
Like a drop of water or nectar.
Watching as some thoughts drip down and ripple out into that field of limitless possibility.
Resting into pause.
When you bring attention and intention into the field of infinity.
What possibilities ripple up into your awareness.
Resting into pause.
Infinite possibilities exist within you.
But which?
Which do you feed?
Resting into pause.
Resting into pause.
Beginning to drop awareness back into where the hands have landed.
Feeling physical hands.
Creative hands.
Can you visualize your hands bringing to life.
Bringing to life your soul purpose.
Bringing to life any one of those infinite possibilities.
These hands channeling that creative energy into the physical world.
The hands of being.
Pure being.
The hands of creative expression and doing.
I invite you to bring your palms of hands to rest against each other.
Resting the hands in the lap or raising them into your heart center.
Just pausing for a few moments.
Breathing into body.
Breathing into heart.
This body temple container of infinite possibilities.
Of infinite space.
Namaste.
