Welcome to your pineal gland.
Just take a moment to settle into your comfy space,
Warm and cozy.
Just gently arrive here in your own time.
Allow your body to soften a little.
Your shoulders loosening,
All the muscles of your face beginning to relax.
And just notice your breath moving naturally in and out without effort.
There is nowhere else you need to be right now.
Just in this moment,
This breath,
This quiet pause.
And as your mind begins to slow,
Perhaps you can imagine yourself stepping gently away from the noise of the day.
Toward something softer,
Stiller and more spacious within you.
Good,
And you can just gently close your eyes.
And just tune into the present moment.
Good.
So within the center of your brain,
Behind the space often associated with the third eye,
Rests a tiny gland known as the pineal gland.
It's small and hidden from view and yet it is quietly connected to cycles of light and darkness within the body.
The pineal gland helps regulate melatonin and it helps to guide the rhythms of your sleep,
Your rest and your renewal.
It responds gently to light and to darkness and it helps your body recognize when it is time to awaken and when it is time to soften into rest.
And there is something beautiful in this.
The reminder that even within darkness,
Your body is still listening for light.
In a world that often moves quickly,
Where thoughts may pull us in many directions,
Stillness can begin to feel unfamiliar.
And yet,
Deep within you,
There remains a quieter rhythm.
It's a rhythm that is ancient,
Steady and unhurried.
Your pineal gland has long been associated with inner awareness in many spiritual traditions.
Not because it holds magical answers,
But it invites us inward towards reflection,
Towards quiet,
Towards the part of ourselves we can only hear when everything else becomes quiet enough.
And sometimes we spend so much time searching outside ourselves for clarity,
For reassurance,
For direction,
And yet there are those moments,
Often the quietest moments,
When wisdom seems to arrive gently on its own.
Maybe it's a feeling,
A knowing,
Or a subtle sense of what is right for us.
So perhaps inner guidance is not something we force ourselves to find,
But maybe it is something we notice when we finally become still enough to listen.
And this is the quiet intelligence within you.
It's patient,
Calm and waiting beneath the noise.
Maybe awakening does not always happen dramatically,
But it can begin softly,
In stillness,
In awareness,
In the simple willingness to turn gently inward.
So now just allow your awareness to rest gently in the centre of your head,
Behind your forehead,
But deep within your brain.
There is no need to concentrate too hard,
Just simply notice.
And there,
Just begin to imagine a tiny point of light.
It is soft,
Distant,
Like a small star that is glowing quietly in a night sky.
It is calm and steady,
It never demands your attention,
But it is simply present.
Now with each slow breath you take,
This light begins to glow a little more warmly,
Not brighter in a harsh way,
But softer,
Gentler and more comforting.
Now you see this peaceful light slowly expanding.
It's filling your mind with spaciousness,
It's softening those busy thoughts,
Just like clouds drifting across a wide open blue sky.
And as this gentle light continues to spread,
Your whole body begins to soften with it.
Just notice your jaw relaxing,
Your shoulders easing and your chest becoming lighter.
And here you are simply resting in quiet awareness.
You are resting in the gentle presence of your own inner light.
So,
Breathe softly here and just allow yourself to simply be for a few moments.
And just this quiet experience of being here,
Alive,
Aware and breathing.
Beneath all the movement of life,
There has always been a stillness within you,
Waiting patiently to be remembered.
So,
Take a slightly deeper breath in now and slowly breathe out.
And become aware of the space around you.
And notice the surface beneath you,
The steadiness of your body here in this very moment.
And carry this gentle reminder that there is a quiet light within you,
Calm,
Steady and always present,
Even in moments when the world feels noisy.
So,
Gently roll your shoulders if that feels good and gently stretch.
Coming back to the present moment.
And as you gently return,
Slowly and softly and all in your own time.
Namaste,
My friend.
