Welcome to Let Your Mind Rest.
Just take a moment.
There's nothing you need to do right now,
Just being here is enough.
So find your comfy space,
Warm and cozy.
Gently close your eyes and just begin to notice your breath just as it is.
No need to change,
Just noticing.
And with your next breath,
Breathe in,
Slowly breathe out and allow your shoulders to soften.
And let your jaw release and just feel your body begin to settle and soften.
Thoughts might still be moving and that's okay.
Your mind doesn't need to be quiet for you to rest.
Just imagine your thoughts are like clouds,
They are gently drifting across the sky and you don't need to follow them,
Just let them pass.
And as you sit here,
Notice the space between your thoughts,
Even if it's just for a moment.
A small pause,
A quiet gap and this is where your mind begins to rest.
So thoughts may still be moving,
Worries,
Concerns,
Things that are asking for your attention and that's okay.
You don't need to push them away but you don't need to hold onto them either.
So just for this moment,
You can let them rest.
And just see yourself placing each thought down gently,
One by one.
It's as if you're setting something down that you have been carrying.
Now you don't have to solve anything right now and nothing needs to be figured out in this moment.
So just let your mind soften,
Even if everything isn't clear yet.
Take a deep breath in and slowly release,
Letting go,
Settling into this moment.
Another breath in and release.
Release worries,
Stress or tension and just resume your natural breathing pattern.
Feel the breath flowing in and flowing out and at the bottom,
Just pause for a moment into the stillness,
Into the quiet.
And if a worry returns,
Just notice it and just let it drift like a leaf floating on water.
See it slowly moving away.
So there's nothing you need to follow,
There's nowhere you need to go.
Just this moment and just this breath.
And underneath it all,
There is a quiet place.
That's the steady,
Gentle stillness that's always here.
And the great news is that you can return here again and again,
Simply by allowing yourself to let go,
Just a little.
Now,
As you sit here,
You might begin to notice that not every thought needs your attention.
Some thoughts are just passing through like echoes or old patterns repeating themselves.
You don't need to follow them and you don't need to believe them just because they appear.
So gently,
You can begin to loosen your grip and it's not pushing anything away.
It's just holding things a little more lightly.
And as you do so,
Your thoughts may begin to feel softer,
Quieter,
Less urgent than they did before.
Just like waves that rise and then fall back into the ocean,
They come and they go all on their own.
So you don't have to carry them,
You don't have to keep them moving,
They can move without you.
And underneath all of this,
Beneath your thoughts,
Beneath your worries,
There is a quiet steadiness.
It's a place that isn't rushed,
A place that isn't overwhelmed,
It's a place that simply is.
And you can rest here even if only for a moment.
So take a deep breath in,
Pause at the bottom,
Feel the stillness,
The quiet and gently release.
One more breath in,
Pause,
And slowly and gently let go.
Wonderful.
Just resume your natural breathing pattern now.
So you don't need to hold everything right now,
It's really okay to put things down just for this moment.
And so for now,
Just rest.
Take a moment,
Feel the quiet within,
Feel the stillness within you.
Take one slow,
Gentle breath in and a soft,
Slow breath out.
And when you feel ready,
Just slowly begin to bring your awareness back.
Gently roll your shoulders if that feels good and gently stretch.
And remember that for this moment,
Nothing else needs to be held.
And as you begin to move back into your day,
See if you can carry a little of this quiet with you.
This sense of space,
This gentle stillness,
This quiet.
And just remember that you can carry a little of this quiet with you.
This sense of space,
This gentle stillness.
It's a soft awareness where you can pause and return at any moment.
So as you go about your day,
Just take one slow breath now and then.
A small reset right in the middle of everything.
And just let that be enough.
And when you're ready,
Just gently open your eyes and carry this feeling of calm with you.
Namaste,
My friend.
