Welcome.
I'm so glad you're here.
This is simply a space to soften,
To breathe and to rest.
If you are navigating cancer,
Whether newly diagnosed,
Moving through treatment,
Recovering,
Please know that you are not alone.
There is no guidebook for the emotional experience of cancer.
And every journey is so deeply personal.
Many of us recognize emotions like shock,
Sadness,
Anger,
Numbness.
Frustration,
But then unexpectedly those moments of deep strength.
Sometimes emotions can arrive gently.
Sometimes they come like waves.
This means that you are human.
And one of the most supportive things that breath work can teach us is we can move with those feelings,
Gently,
Safely,
One breath at a time.
And this is a moment.
To allow yourself to be held.
So take a slow,
Soft breath in.
And gently breathe out.
Inhale slowly.
And exhale fully.
Releasing any stress or tension.
As you continue to breathe naturally.
Just allow your shoulders to soften just a little.
Your jaw to loose.
And your body to begin settling into support.
So find a comfy space,
Warm and cozy.
And just take a moment to breathe into this moment.
Relaxing,
Releasing and letting go.
And just gently close your eyes.
Sometimes when emotions rise the breath can become shallow.
And this is your nervous system trying to protect you.
So breathe with a gentle steady breath and this will help guide your body back toward safety.
So take it slow,
Inhale for a count of four,
Two,
Three,
Four.
And exhale gently for 654321.
And again inhale for a count of four.
And exhale for a count of six,
Letting go,
Softening just a little more.
Now just bring one hand to your heart.
Give a little press and just feel the warmth of your hand.
The gentle rise and fall beneath it.
Your heartbeat.
Your heart.
And now to silently repeat.
It's okay.
I'm here.
I can pause.
I am safe in this moment.
Just breathe those words deep into your heart.
And if it feels comfortable,
Just gently wrap your arms around yourself.
Bring a little smile to your face.
A soft embrace.
As you inhale,
Just breathe into your chest.
And as you exhale allow your shoulders to soften even more.
You are offering your body reassurance,
Kindness,
Compassion.
And just bring your arms down now to rest.
If there's any area of discomfort in your body right now,
Just see if you can imagine breathing around it.
So creating softness around the edges.
And just simply making space.
Giving your body permission to soften where it can.
Your hands are resting gently.
Your eyes are closed.
And you are settling into this very moment.
Without needing to focus on any one part of your body.
Just imagine a soft warm light surrounding you.
It's a beautiful,
Gentle,
Golden glow.
Just like the warmth of early morning sunlight.
And it surrounds you completely,
Softly,
Quietly.
And with every breath you take,
This healing light begins to move through you.
It is so comforting.
It feels like warm water flowing around stones in a stream.
And it moves gently through your body.
Finding those places that feel tired or tender.
Or heavy.
And wherever this light flows your body it softens a little more.
Your shoulders release,
Your neck softens,
Your jaw relaxes.
And your breath is deepening naturally.
And just receive.
Receive this light.
Receive your breath.
Now this warm,
Beautiful light is carrying compassion into every part of you.
Every cell.
Every curve.
Every line.
Every muscle.
And every place.
Every place that has carried the tea.
Attention.
Pain.
Or doubt.
Just let your body feel love.
Just exactly as it is.
Not for how strong it has been or how much it might have endured.
But simply because it is your beautiful body.
So just feel love.
Flowing into every part of you.
Softly,
Steadily.
Like golden light wrapping itself around your whole being.
Here you are held,
Supported and safe.
Let's take a gentle journey now.
A journey into a place that is created for healing,
Stillness and deep rest.
You see yourself standing at the entrance of a beautiful traditional Japanese garden at twilight.
The air here is so cool and gentle.
The sky it glows with soft shades of gold,
Peach,
And pale blue.
And just before the stars begin to appear.
Before you lies a narrow stone path.
There is soft moss that is growing between the stones like velvet.
And there are tiny lanterns that flicker along this path.
And their warm light.
Is dancing quietly in this evening air.
So just take a slow breath.
And begin to walk step by step.
Just notice the soothing sounds around you,
The distant flow of water,
The whisper of bamboo leaves swaying.
The soft hum of evening crickets beginning their song.
Now this path leads you toward a beautiful red bridge.
It's curved gently like a beautiful smile.
As you step onto the bridge.
You listen to the soft creak.
Of the wood beneath your feet.
And below you is a koi pond.
This pond is still.
Reflective.
A mirror of the twilight sky.
Beautiful koi.
Glide beneath the surface,
White.
Gold and orange.
They move slowly and peacefully.
And their movement is so calm.
That your breath naturally begins to follow their rhythm.
Let's just take a moment here.
To notice your breath flowing in.
And flowing out.
You are feeling calm.
You are feeling peace.
You are feeling the stillness within.
As you continue across this bridge,
A warm breeze brushes against your cheeks.
It carries the delicate scent of cherry blossoms.
And the trees are right in the full of season.
You follow the path through a bamboo grove.
The tall green stalks are swaying gently,
Creating a soft,
Rustling sound.
Like a nature whispering lullabies just for you.
And now you arrive at a small wooden gate.
You slide it open slowly and step into this hidden sanctuary.
The center of this beautiful garden is a beautiful Japanese tea house.
Quiet.
Warmth Peaceful.
There are soft paper lanterns that glow from inside.
Casting golden light across.
The tatami mats.
And so you step inside.
And you settle onto the soft mat near an open window.
You are overlooking this peaceful zen garden.
Patterns have been carefully drawn into the sand with gentle circles,
Curves,
And flowing lines.
They represent the flow of life itself.
How it bends,
With the spirals,
With changes,
And yet they still remain connected.
And as you sit here quietly.
A soft healing light begins to enter the tea house.
Warm,
Pale gold.
Slowly,
Gently,
It begins filling the room.
It's like warm water rising.
And as it rises you feel it surrounding your body.
Soft.
Healing,
Comforting you.
Now this light moves around you and through you.
It is holding every part of you with such kindness.
It's melting tension.
Co-hardening your nervous system.
This is going deep within yourself.
And you hear a whisper now.
Rest.
You are safe.
And now,
Outside,
The first stars appear above the garden.
There are tiny points of silver bright light.
And each star is like a blessing.
So you're breathing gently here.
And imagine those stars dissolving into sparkling dust.
And they are floating softly into the tea house,
This sparkling star dust onto your skin.
Into your heart,
Into your breath.
And now with every inhale,
You breathe in light.
And with every exhale.
You release tension.
You release stress.
Inhale peace.
And exhale,
Letting go.
Now the cherry blossom petals are beginning to drift slowly through the open window.
These petals are pale pink.
Weightless and they are floating gently around you.
And each of these petals,
They carry a message just for you.
A message to rest.
To heal.
Feel softness.
To be at ease.
You are supported.
You are deeply loved.
And you are allowed to relax.
So feel the petals settling softly around you now.
Like blessings.
By comfort.
Like compassion itself.
You are allowed to rest deeply.
So you can just stay here for as long as you need.
Feeling the lantern light.
The stillness of the garden.
The warmth and healing of the tea house.
The softness of the petals.
And the quiet rhythm of your breath.
Whenever you are ready,
Just slowly bring a little awareness back into your body.
Very slowly,
Very gently.
Notice your breath again,
The rise.
The flow.
Just like calm waves moving toward the shore.
When you're ready,
Just gently roll your shoulders if that feels good.
Give yourself a gentle stretch.
Just remember that you are bringing the peace of this garden back with you.
In each breath.
Every cell,
Every moment.
So just take a moment.
Just repeat silently or out loud to yourself.
Like the bamboo I bend but I do not break.
Like the koi,
I move gently,
With grace and calm.
Like the lantern light I carry warmth within me.
And just breathe those words deep into your heart.
And may the peace you found here today follow you gently through your days ahead.
Like petals drifting on a quiet breeze.
Take a slow breath in.
And a long,
Gentle breath out.
And thank you for being here,
For allowing yourself this time of softness,
Of rest.
Of self-care.
And your breath is here for you.
Your quiet companion.
Your sanctuary.
Your way home to you.
And when you're ready just gently open your eyes.
Take this feeling of being,
Of healing.
Of compassion.
Of care.
Of love,
Of softness with you.
Namaste,
My friend.
