In this meditation, I take you on a journey to the land of slumber. Lie down in bed, get comfy, close your eyes, and unwind ready for a good night's sleep. This meditation can be listened to at any stage of motherhood, whether that be during pregnancy or post-birth. I hope it helps you to have a deeper and rejuvenating night's rest. Welcome to this mother's sleep meditation.

You can listen to this meditation during pregnancy and motherhood.

I'm going to guide you into a restful sleep by taking you on a relaxing and peaceful train ride through the serene countryside.

Please get comfortable in your bed.

Make sure that you're warm enough and that your room is dark and cosy.

Begin to let go of any tension in your body.

Sink into your mattress and get even more comfortable.

Now focus on your breath.

Take a deep breath in through your nose and slowly breathe out through your mouth.

Do this a few times as you relax to the music in the background.

Now I'd like you to imagine that you're standing on the platform of an old train station.

Night time is approaching.

The sun is low in the sky and the temperature is warm and mild.

The train you're about to board is long and extends into the horizon.

Around you are beautiful fields filled with colourful wildflowers.

You look behind you and notice that one door is open for you on the train.

You see the train workers getting ready to depart and you can see steam rising up out of the train's engine.

You walk towards the open door and climb up three steps onto the train.

You hear the train horn blowing as a lady takes your ticket and escorts you to your cabin for the night.

In your cabin there's a double bed on your left and a small table and set of drawers on your right with a lamp and a beautiful vase of yellow roses on top.

You put your bags down and lie down on the bed,

Gazing out of the big cabin windows at the pink and orange sky.

You feel slight vibrations as the train gets ready to set off.

The train wheels slowly begin to roll and the vibrations of the train get stronger but feel soothing.

There's a calming hum coming from the train's engine and it deeply relaxes you.

The train speeds up a little more until it reaches a steady speed.

As you gaze out of the window you see trees passing by and in the distance a beautiful mountain range.

You feel deeply relaxed and at ease as you rest your body on the comfy bed.

You enjoy breathing calmly and slowly,

Knowing there's nothing you need to do and nowhere you need to be other than here in this moment.

As you relax the pinks and oranges in the sky gradually fade into the deep blue of the night sky.

Stars are beginning to appear and a beautiful full moon shines down over you,

Casting a silvery glow into your cabin.

You're beginning to feel sleepy so you decide to get under your bed covers.

The pillows feel really soft against your head and you easily close your eyes.

Sleep is coming to you soon to restore you and rejuvenate you.

Every breath you take relaxes your mind and body more and more.

Your heartbeat has slowed to a steady restful beat and sleep is coming over you naturally.

Your body feels completely relaxed,

All your muscles are soft and your mind is quiet and clear.

You let go completely and surrender to the soothing vibrations of the train as it guides you closer and closer to sleep.

You are calm and completely serene,

Knowing that you deeply deserve this rest.

Sleep is enveloping you now as the train takes you on this journey to guide you effortlessly into the realm of sleep.

You are an amazing mother,

A strong and resilient woman,

A wonderful person who deserves a night of deep sleep.

You are allowed to rest,

Surrendering to the night,

Falling into a deep restorative sleep as the calming music continues to play.

You are calm and completely serene,

Knowing that you deeply deserve this rest.
