Welcome to this first-trimester meditation. Please listen to this meditation 3-4 times per week to help increase feelings of relaxation and confidence as you journey through the early weeks of pregnancy. For maximum benefit, please sit or lie down in a quiet room where you will not be interrupted and give yourself this time to let go of any tension or stress you may be holding on to. Soften into your body, breathe deeply, and enjoy some quiet time connecting to your baby in the womb. Music by Chris Collins

You can listen to this meditation in the mornings to help you start your day in a calm and positive way.

Or listen to it whenever you want to nurture your well-being and connect more deeply with your baby in the womb.

Please find a warm,

Comfortable and safe place to sit or lie down where you won't be disturbed.

And when you're ready,

Allow your eyes to gently close.

And place a hand or two hands on your belly where your baby lies.

Bringing your awareness to your breath.

Allowing it to deepen as you inhale.

And exhaling slowly,

Letting go of any tension you may be carrying.

With each breath in and out,

Notice your body loosening and softening.

Breathing in slowly and out slowly and calmly.

With each exhalation of breath,

Allowing yourself to relax more deeply into this meditation practice.

Letting go of anything that isn't serving you for your highest good.

Releasing any tension,

Stress or anxiety.

And just giving yourself this special time to relax and calm your mind and your body.

If any thoughts pop into your mind,

That's okay and perfectly normal.

But you don't have to engage with anything else right now,

Other than my voice and your breathing.

Just continuing to take slow,

Deep breaths in.

And smooth,

Steady and gentle breaths out.

Early pregnancy can sometimes be tough and challenging.

You might be listening to this pregnancy meditation because you're experiencing nausea,

Pregnancy sickness,

Exhaustion or other first trimester symptoms.

As you do this meditation,

It can help to accept what you're feeling as a normal part of pregnancy.

Knowing that your body is working hard to nourish and grow your healthy baby inside your amazing womb.

Allowing yourself to cherish each day of your early pregnancy,

Which offers you new experiences and brings you one step closer to meeting and holding your own baby.

In doing so,

You're welcoming patience,

Self-compassion and kindness into your mind,

Body and soul.

Knowing that you're doing a great job,

Even on days that might feel tougher than other ones.

As you relax there with your hands on your belly,

I'm going to say a series of positive affirmations.

Ones that have been specifically created to help you through your early pregnancy.

You can repeat each affirmation back to yourself in your head.

Or simply allow the words to be absorbed into your mind and your body.

I take my time during my first trimester.

I breathe calmly and deeply throughout my day.

I trust that my baby and I are healthy and well.

I am blessed to be carrying my baby.

I trust my body to nourish me and my baby.

I confidently navigate through my early pregnancy.

I embrace all physical and emotional feelings as normal and natural.

I rest when I need to.

I am proud of my pregnancy.

My baby is deeply loved.

All is well in my first trimester.

As you continue to relax,

It can be helpful to set an intention for your first trimester.

So just allow any loving messages to float into your mind about how you want to feel and experience your early days of pregnancy.

For example,

Do you want to feel relaxed,

Comfortable,

Patient,

Peaceful,

Joyful,

Energized,

Strong,

Or confident?

Maybe you want to feel a number of different things.

Repeating an I am mantra back to yourself allows your intention to be sealed into the remainder of your first trimester or even your day ahead.

For example,

You could say to yourself,

I am relaxed and patient in my first trimester.

Or today,

I am joyful and comfortable.

Whatever springs into your mind is your body and your baby's way of telling you what they need.

So just allow an I am mantra to sink into your mind and just repeat that mantra back to yourself in your head.

As you continue to breathe in and out,

Gently and slowly.

Now,

Bring your awareness to your womb,

Where your baby lies cozy and warm inside of you.

As you breathe in,

Notice your abdomen expand and fall as you breathe out.

As you breathe deeply and slowly,

Your baby is being flooded with lots and lots of nourishing oxygen and calm,

Peaceful feelings.

And just as your baby is being nourished with lovely oxygen,

So are you.

You and your baby are as one,

Growing and changing together with each passing day.

Your baby loves you so much.

And you are going to be an amazing mother to your baby.

In fact,

You already are an amazing mother.

Growing your baby in the womb safely and healthily.

We're coming to the end of this first trimester meditation practice now.

So just bring all of the lovely feelings of relaxation and positivity into the remainder of your day and the remainder of your first trimester.

Knowing that this meditation is available to you whenever you need a few minutes out of your day to relax,

To calm your mind and your body and connect more deeply with your baby in the womb.

Take care lovely lady and goodbye for now.
