Hello again and welcome.
My name is Pratika.
Today I'd like to invite you into a simple pointing.
Perhaps not as obvious as it first appears.
Yet perhaps it has never really been asked.
Where is the mind trying to go?
Notice the movement the mind really rests.
It moves from one thought to the next,
From one memory to another,
From one plan to another.
Always moving,
Always searching.
Always projecting.
Mine says,
When this is finished,
I'll be happy.
When I understand,
I'll be at peace.
When life changes,
Everything will be OK.
The destination may change.
But the movement remains the same.
Always toward somewhere else.
Now look carefully.
Has the mind ever arrived?
Or has each destination simply become another place?
From which to continue searching.
Even the search for truth can become another journey.
The search for awakening and other destination.
The search for peace,
Another future.
But where is the mind actually trying to go?
Every destination exists as a thought,
A projection.
An image appearing now,
The future never arrives,
Except as this moment.
And so perhaps the mind is searching,
Not because the destination exists.
That because it believes,
Life is incomplete.
Every search assumes.
There is somewhere else to arrive.
But right now before the next thought.
Where is the mind trying to go?
Notice something without following the next thought.
Where are you?
Without moving towards the next moment.
What is lacking?
Perhaps nothing has ever been missing,
Only the mind has imagined it.
There was somewhere else to arrive.
And perhaps this is why the search eventually comes to an end.
Not because the mind finds what it is looking for.
But because it quietly discovers.
There is nowhere to go.
A search comes to an end not because something has been found.
Because what was sought was never absent.
Now in this moment,
Nothing needs to become anything more than what it is.
Nothing needs to be completed.
Nothing needs to be added.
Only the awareness of quiet knowing.
That has never needed.
To be.
Anywhere else.
Blessings to you.
