Mornings,
Before one's first thought Introduction Before the world stirs Before thoughts and plans begin to take shape in the mind There is a quiet presence that lies within them One's unchanging background of relaxing stillness Before the day begins Within one's first morning breath There it is,
Waiting Become aware of this which is untouched and eternally still Unchanging and always present Relaxing stillness is one's true nature This meditation is an invitation to embrace this stillness,
This relaxation To become aware first thing in the morning in one's breath and let it accompany you peacefully into the day ahead Sit for a moment,
Breathe deeply Feel this stillness within,
Be still in its relaxing presence Be here,
With each breath,
There it is Sit and observe what is happening inwardly Yes,
There will be some thoughts,
But what else is there,
Behind each breath?
One's stillness Feel this stillness,
Immerse yourself within it as you breathe This stillness is here before any thought There are thoughts,
Yes,
But what is greater,
Calmer and more peaceful and relaxing?
One's stillness One's stillness is vast like a cloudless sky Be still,
Be present,
Be here with this stillness Feel it moving throughout the whole body as you breathe As it does,
Feel the body fully relaxing In holding this awareness,
You are anchoring this relaxing stillness deeper into your heart of peace Thoughts slip further and further away,
They have no ground to rest on For stillness is fully present in your awareness at the start of every morning,
As you go to sleep in the evening No longer are thoughts first in your mind in the mornings They are there waiting patiently in the stillness,
Greeting you as a friend with each breath Conclusion Carry this relaxing stillness with you now as you step into the rhythm of each day Carry it with you as you fall asleep peacefully each evening Stillness does not leave you,
You leave stillness with your thinking Even when the mind is busy,
Stillness is there with you,
Patiently,
Quietly and calmly,
As it is one's eternal nature Unmoving,
Untouched,
Infinite This is the truth of your being Consciously return to it again and again When the mind becomes too busy When the body becomes tight You know it cannot be separated from you As it is you It is the inner light that never fades,
Day or night Always there to bring a calm quietness,
Presence and stillness to your life With each breath,
Morning and night Breathe deeply Relax
