Welcome back to Your Journey Yoga.
Today we have a visualization and energy focused meditation.
This practice is best done seated and can be further amplified by practicing outdoors if possible,
But it's not necessary.
Take a moment to settle in and we'll begin.
As you arrive in your seat,
Take a deep inhale in through your nose and a slow,
Smooth exhale through your mouth.
Relax the muscles of your face by unfurrowing your brow,
Letting the eyelids be relaxed and heavy.
Unclench your jaw,
Letting your tongue just settle in your mouth.
Softening through the ears,
The neck,
The shoulders.
Letting the arms and the legs rest with gravity.
Bring some awareness into your sits bones,
Where you are connected to the ground,
Connected to the earth.
Start to anchor in to where you are seated.
You might even imagine roots growing down from your tailbone into the soil of the earth.
Connecting energetically with the unconditional loving support of Mother Earth.
Sensing her presence,
Knowing that she is holding and supporting you here in this practice.
Knowing that there is nothing else you need to do,
No one else you need to be other than you,
Exactly as and who you are,
Right here,
Right now.
Receiving the nutrients of the energy of Mother Earth.
Soaking up her unconditional love.
As you anchor down into the earth,
Maybe you imagine being like a little flower stretching up towards the sun.
As you lengthen up through each vertebra of your spine.
Crown of the head reaches up towards the sky,
Feeling the warmth of Father Sun.
Letting the rays come down through the crown of your head.
Sensing the warmth of Father Sun,
Encapsulating the entirety of your body.
Bringing you a sense of warmth,
Of home,
A sense of familiarity.
Feeling the blending of these two energies,
Father Sun,
Mother Earth,
Coming down from above and up from beneath you.
Creating a container for your experience.
As you feel these energies screening you in your practice,
Begin to connect with your breath.
Feeling the connection between the inflow and the outflow.
The smooth transition from inhale to exhale.
While simultaneously feeling the warmth of the Sun energetically.
Feeling the support of the Earth energetically.
Bridging the connection of these two energies with the inflow and outflow of your breath.
We can think of the energy of the Earth as feminine energy and we can think of the energy of Father Sun as masculine energy.
We all have both of these energies within us.
Feminine energy can be associated with rest,
Intuition,
Coolness,
Softness.
The energy of the masculine is associated with fire,
Action,
Transformation.
It is the blending of these two energies that help us navigate the way that we take on our lives.
We all have a unique balance of these energies within us.
Take a moment here to connect with what feminine energy means to you.
What is your connection with feminine energy?
How does it feel in your body?
What sensations arise as you contemplate and connect with this energy?
Does this energy feel prominent within you or do you maybe feel disconnected from it?
There's no right or wrong or good or bad.
Just take a moment here to allow the energy of femininity to familiarize within your system.
Open up your curiosity.
Notice what comes up for you here.
You may have visions arise in your mental space.
Stay as open as you can.
Stay as curious as you can.
Let whatever wants to come to you intuitively come to you.
Allow your curiosity of the feminine to soften and move through the same process for masculine energy.
Getting curious about your connection to your inner masculine.
What does your connection to this energy feel like?
Any sensations that may arise in your body?
You might notice narratives,
Stories that you have about the masculine.
Again,
We're just being curious.
There's no right,
Wrong,
Good or bad.
Simply create space for whatever connection it is you have to masculine energy.
Arise and unfold.
Paying mindful attention to the body,
To the breath,
To any visions that arise.
Allow yourself to soften into it.
You can allow your curiosity of the masculine to soften,
To dissolve a bit and I want to acknowledge that there is this gray area.
This blending of the masculine and the feminine.
The shadow and the light.
This space that I like to call the sacred gray.
We all have this within and it may feel like a unknown or slightly murky part of our existence.
Slightly less identifiable.
Take a moment to observe what the sacred gray feels like within you.
These parts of you that are blended.
Can you invite curiosity for these parts as well?
Remembering that nothing about our lives are really very black and white at all.
Our human existence is very nuanced and while there are perhaps more prominent energies like masculine and feminine that can be driving forces in our existence,
There's always this middle ground.
There's always this sense of uncertainty,
Ambiguousness.
How does this energy feel for you?
Cultivate curiosity and mindful experiencing of the body,
Of your own energy,
Of your vision and your mental space and simply allow yourself to explore.
Allow your awareness and your curiosity to create space for your own internal nuances.
You do not need to identify as only masculine or only feminine.
It is the blending of these energies that create the greatest impact on how we move through life.
Our human nature is to be complicated and nuanced.
It is our human nature to transform and evolve with time.
We understand how these energies manifest within us and how from within us they have these external expressions that drive our actions.
We understand and get curious about these things within us.
We're more capable of moving through life with an open mind,
With an open heart.
We're better able to understand why we do the things we do and maybe even how we want to do them differently.
We also get to attune to where things are maybe out of balance or maybe we can invite in more masculine,
Feminine or the sacred gray.
None of this is 50-50 all the time,
Wherever.
We each have our own unique blend of energy within us.
Take the following moments to simply expand your awareness.
Continue to harness your curiosity about yourself.
Let your awareness explore your inner landscape.
Continue to trust whatever is arising for you.
Notice if you've become hooked on any narratives that maybe you can soften your grip around.
Be expansive.
Continue to open up and explore.

Feel free to pause the audio and continue meditating on your own.
If you would like to carry on with whatever is next in the unfolding of your day,
You can begin to deepen your inhales and lengthen your exhales.
You can start to move the body in small and gentle waves.
You may flutter your eyes open slowly,
Reconnecting with the environment around you.
You can bring your hands together at your heart center.
Continue to work with the seeds of curiosity that have been planted in this meditation.
Trust that if nothing was really coming to you as you sat here,
Maybe something can unfold for you later.
Keep your heart and your mind open.
