Welcome to the art of forgiveness and letting go.
Thank you for joining us and being part of this meditation.
I invite you to lie down on your back.
Extend your legs.
Let your hands rest by your side.
Or you can place one hand on the belly and the other on the heart space.
If you feel inclined to sit upright,
Allow the shoulders to fall away from the ears as you lengthen through the crown of your head.
Feel the elongation of your spine.
Take a deep inhale in.
And as you exhale,
Sigh it out.
Deep inhale in.
And as you exhale,
Sigh it out.
Allow yourself to release into the space you are in.
Deep inhales fill the chest space,
Fill the belly.
And as you exhale,
Allow the belly to sink in towards the spine.
Letting the inhales bring in new life,
New energy.
And allow the exhales to release what is no longer of use or service to your being.
Letting yourself recede deeper and deeper into the stillness and peace within you.
Allowing the emotional being to be at rest.
Seeing your anxiety,
Any tension or judgments we may have.
Sinking further into the peace within you.
Allow the mind to slow down.
Use the breath to create space between each thought.
Helping to slow down the processing of the mind.
Inhale the breath creates space in the mind.
And as you exhale,
Allow the thoughts,
The stream of consciousness to float through you.
Remaining unattached to them.
Merely being a witness to the thoughts as they stream in and out of the mind.
Letting ourselves sink deeper and deeper into rest.
In the center of your heart,
See a bright radiating light.
As we inhale,
Feel the light grow and expand.
As we exhale,
Feel the light move through the body.
Inhale the light grows.
Exhale it moves through the body.
Allowing this light to cleanse and restore.
Let this be a connection to your true expansive self.
Find yourself in a sacred space.
Where are you?
What surrounds you?
Within this space,
Bring to mind someone whom you have difficulties with,
A challenge,
Or to whom forgiveness is needed.
Whomever appears is just fine.
See this person clearly and allow yourself to make a connection.
Say to this person,
I am sorry.
As you say,
I'm sorry.
Observe what arises within you.
Let the thoughts and feelings that are not life affirming drift off into the nothingness from which they came.
As judgments or anger may arise,
We acknowledge and with the exhales release,
Letting go.
I am sorry,
Letting yourself feel more at ease,
More open,
More receptive.
Allow yourself to rest in the words,
I am sorry.
Inhale and as you exhale,
Allow the breath to release all the tension,
The hesitation and resistance you may feel.
Allow the release to occur.
Remain connected to this person in this authentic space of being,
Acknowledging them and say,
Please forgive me.
Be open and receptive.
Please forgive me.
Allow the other's mercy to shine upon you.
Please forgive me.
Feel as you are forgiven.
Allow the other's mercy to shine upon you.
Please forgive me.
Feel as you are forgiven.
Becoming lighter,
More at ease,
More at peace.
Release the barriers that prevent you from fully receiving your pardon.
Allow the soul to be forgiven.
Release the mercy and the goodwill exchanged.
Express your gratitude and say thank you,
Sinking deeper into your true self.
Thank you.
Feeling a softening of the heart even more,
Letting go of whatever residue is left from the conflict or difficulties.
Through this spiritual connection,
We are reminded there are no divisions between us and them.
For we are one being.
Say,
I love you.
Feel as the love you possess is expressed and shared with the other person.
I love you.
Allow yourself to be an expression of unconditional love.
I love you.
Let yourself also receive their love.
Acknowledge the spaciousness created,
Remain open to forgiveness.
Letting go of the walls and barriers so that your heart may be fully open.
As the mind attempts to discern,
To judge or justify,
We simply acknowledge and release.
Let yourself remain in this receptive state.
Observe the grace of God in this person.
See their innocence,
The presence of the divine.
Shine your mercy and light onto them and say,
I forgive you for whatever you may have done I forgive you.
As the mind attempts to block forgiveness,
We simply observe the nature of the unkind mind.
And let this unkind mind be touched by the warmth and patience of forgiveness.
Let yourself elevate to a higher place.
May all sentient beings be freed from their suffering,
Of their anger,
Their confusion,
Of their fears and doubts.
May all beings know the joy of their true nature.
May they be free from suffering.
Allow all beings' hearts to be open,
Their minds clear and grounded into their peace.
Once only,
We start to take deeper breaths into the belly,
Into the diaphragm.
Reconnecting,
Packing to our bodies.
Acknowledging their surroundings,
Holding gratitude for the experience.
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes.
Allow yourself to dwell in this space for as long as needed.
Thank you for joining us on this experience.
We look forward to our next adventure.
The light within me honors the light within each of you.
Namaste.
