This supportive talk on the popular RAIN practice is intended as a reminder to be gentle with ourselves when we are having a hard time. We all have the capacity be with painful or difficult feelings, but we may feel disconnected from that capacity. Practicing R (Recognize), A (Allow), I (Investigate), N (Nurture) is one way to show ourselves kindness, care and compassion. It does not mean trouble will magically disappear, but it may mean we can access greater capacity to be with what is.
