This exercise was created to help you establish your energetic safe space.
Because this exercise could be considered a form of meditation,
Do not listen to it while driving,
Operating machinery,
Or doing any activity that requires you to be alert.
Please use good judgment and be safe when meditating or doing this exercise.
This is a good exercise to do when you're feeling disconnected or separate from yourself or you're simply feeling overwhelmed.
Let's begin.
Start by taking a moment to scan through your body and notice any places that are tense and any places that feel relaxed or open.
Notice a place in your body that does not currently hold any tension.
See if you can create a spot deep inside your body that feels safe and comfortable.
This will be your home inside your body and you can return here anytime.
If you're having trouble finding a place in your body,
Imagine a loving or joyful memory when you felt strong and empowered.
Notice where in your body you feel the emotion connected to that memory or place.
This can become your internal home.
For the next few minutes,
Practice paying attention to your internal home a few times.
Notice how it feels and see if you can breathe into the space and feel it grow warmer,
Cozier and safer.
You Now I'd like you to imagine a large bubble around your body.
This bubble can be made of any material you choose.
It can be transparent,
Opaque,
Made of water or glitter,
Whatever you want.
This bubble is not here to keep others or their energy away from you.
It is here to give you a sense of your energetic body.
This bubble should be about three feet away from you on all sides.
I'm going to let you play with this bubble for a minute.
See if you can make it expand and contract and see if you can play with the edges of the bubble.
You Now take a moment to connect with your body by noticing your feet.
Pay attention to how they feel on whatever they are resting on.
Now imagine the bubble again.
This is your energetic home,
Your energetic safe space.
For the next few minutes,
Practice playing with your energetic bubble.
Try to expand it and contract it and see if you can play with the edges of it.
You Feel free to interact with your bubble as much as you would like and whenever you are guided to do so and at the pace that feels right for you,
Take a couple of deep breaths,
Wiggle your toes and fingers and slowly open your eyes as you bring your awareness back to the room.
