So this practice should not be done while driving,
And it should be used when you're in a place where you can fully relax,
Either sitting or lying down.
So just begin by finding a comfortable seat and close your eyes.
Begin to focus on relaxing the muscles of your mouth.
Imagine that you can send a feeling of relaxation to your lips,
Your tongue,
Allowing everything to relax,
Almost as if all those muscles are going to sleep.
Now imagine that relaxation moving up the side of your face,
All the way up your cheeks,
Your nose,
And that sensation moving over your nose,
And then softening all the muscles around your eyes and up into your forehead,
Allowing every muscle in your face to relax and let go,
Getting more comfortable.
Imagine sending the relaxation up over your head,
Back of the head,
Down the back of your neck,
Down the back of your shoulders,
All the way down to your lower back,
And allowing your pelvis to get heavier and more relaxed.
Relax your shoulders away from your ears,
And send that relaxation down your arms,
All the way down into your hands.
That's right.
Relax all the way to your fingertips.
Now send that relaxation down your chest into your belly,
Your belly completely relaxed,
Down into your hips.
Feel the heaviness of your pelvis sinking you deeper into relaxation.
Feel your legs becoming more relaxed,
All the way down your shins,
Into your ankles and feet,
And all the way to the tips of your toes.
Your whole body completely relaxed,
Comfort sinking in.
Now as I count from one to ten,
Imagine every muscle getting even more comfortable as your mind expands upward and outward.
One,
Broaden your mind,
Your body more relaxed.
Two,
Your mind getting even more expansive.
Three,
Gaining clarity.
Four,
From an even broader perspective.
Five,
Accessing your intuition.
Six,
Widening into expansive awareness.
Seven,
Connecting to your inner wisdom.
Eight,
Going up above and beyond your mind even more expansive.
Nine,
Widening out.
And ten.
From this expansive perspective,
Imagine you could be aware of a timeline,
Whatever that looks like for you.
And this timeline goes all the way back into your past and forward into your future.
Now turn towards your past and allow your unconscious mind to create a symbolic gesture that releases any and all connections to the past pattern of emotional eating and overeating and unhealthy choices.
So do that now.
Some symbolic gesture to release and let go.
Now turn towards your future.
Imagine six months from now and see a beautiful future memory.
See yourself exactly how you want to feel in your body.
You love the way you feel.
See yourself in this memory doing what you want to be doing.
Being how you want to be being.
This evolved version of you that has come from having a completely healthy relationship with yourself and with food.
You eat mindfully,
Slowly.
Chewing.
Tasting.
Fully present while you're eating.
You're connected with your body.
Attuned to your hunger.
You're aware of your emotions and you're using tools to regulate your nervous system.
See yourself using these tools to neutralize,
To calm down,
To come to a place of peace so that you only eat to nourish yourself,
To fuel your beautiful body.
See this version of you,
The way that you are eating rhythmically,
Making healthy,
Mindful choices and feeling so good about how you are nourishing your body.
And see how this new way of eating,
This new relationship you have with your emotions,
With your body,
With yourself.
See the beautiful relationship with your body that you have created.
And now imagine that you could float down into that body and try it on.
Merge with this six-month future version of yourself.
Notice how it feels to be in a fully loving relationship with this leaner,
Healthier you.
Notice how you're holding yourself.
Notice how you're moving.
Feel your energy.
Feel the rhythm of this new self.
Feel the quality of your skin,
Your muscles,
This body that you are completely in love with,
With all of its beautiful imperfections.
You are taking on the vibration of this new self as you float back out and back into the present.
Back in this moment,
You still have the rhythm and the energy of that future self six months from now.
And from that rhythm,
From that energy,
You will create that body and the loving relationship you have with yourself.
