Welcome to the Rocky Mountain meditation.

Let's begin by sitting up nice and straight with a straight spine and level head.

Taking a deep breath in filling the stomach,

The chest,

All the way up to the clavicle.

And then a nice thorough exhale pulling the belly button back towards the spine.

And as you breathe deep and close your eyes,

Imagine yourself sitting on a nice level log next to a small stream,

A battling brook.

On the side of the mountain where you can look out and see several beautiful peaks,

The valleys between you and those peaks.

And as you pull your vision closer to where you're at,

You start to see the trees,

The shrubs,

The beautiful flowers that surround where you're sitting.

The interplay of the bees and butterflies skipping from flower to flower.

And you feel that cool,

Fresh mountain air against the cheeks and the back of your neck.

And as we continue to breathe deeply,

Open your heart to the beauty and the abundance of life that is around you.

Knowing that you are connected with that life.

Knowing that the same elements,

The same energy,

The same matter that creates the stars that we look up at night and marvel at,

Created you and created all that you can see as you look across the panachramic view off that mountainside in wonderment and amazement.

Deepen the feeling of connectivity and gratitude in your heart.

As you feel that cool mountain breeze brushing against your hair.

Sensing that almost perfect silence.

That stillness of your own person.

That peaceful essence that comes only through the breath and the heart.

And now as you're sitting on that mountainside,

Take a look down at your feet.

And see the ants and beetles going about their day.

Living in the present moment.

Not living in the resentment of the past or the fear of the future,

But at an insect level,

Being mindful about what they're doing right now.

And pull that mindfulness into your mind.

Pull that mindfulness into yourself.

That awareness of each moment,

Of each second of the day,

Of not only how precious it is,

But how awesome it is that we get to experience this time and space now while still being connected to our infinity.

Our universal purpose.

And as we lift our gaze back up,

Back over the valleys to those other mountain peaks.

And we take in those last few refreshing,

Cool breaths.

I bid you to be well.
