Welcome.
My name is Gayler.
I'm a yoga and meditation teacher based in Los Angeles.
And thank you for joining me for this practice of self-love.
We're going to begin in a comfortable seat.
Just beginning to get settled.
Letting the breath deepen.
Just starting to feel more at home in your body.
And as you turn your attention to the inhales and the exhales.
See if you can think about expanding through the heart space on those breaths.
Just really letting the body fill up,
Particularly in the chest and into the heart space.
And I invite you to take a scan of your body.
From the crown of your head to the tips of your toes.
Just noticing any areas that need a little extra love.
And letting your awareness help soften those areas.
And on the inhales,
Think about inhaling love.
And on the exhales,
Exhaling love.
There are many,
Many,
Many kinds of love in this world.
Romantic love,
Love for family,
True loving friendship.
But at the heart of all of it is self-love.
And when we're truly able to find that deep self-love,
It makes every other kind of love possible.
Let's take a deep breath here.
And then find a rhythm with the breath that feels easy and natural and loving.
And I invite you to think about a few people who have given their love to you.
Really feeling the energy and the warmth of that love.
What it's meant to your life.
Let that fill you up.
And then continuing with that conscious breathing.
See if you can improve the quality of your breath even a little more,
Whatever that means to you.
And start breathing like you truly love yourself.
Now I invite you to think about a few people in your life,
Or maybe just one,
Who really needs some extra love right now.
And can you give some of your love to them?
Considering what that might look like.
Can you give that love freely?
Can you give that love freely with absolutely no expectation of anything in return?
Just giving as you have been given.
To love,
To be loved,
To give love is a gift.
It's the greatest gift.
Let's take one more deep,
Loving breath together here.
And as we close today's practice,
I invite you to consider that you are at your very essence,
Love.
Hope to see you next time.
