Let's find our comfortable position.
Allowing our body to be at ease so it can rest.
With one or two deeper breaths.
Having a little fidget.
Becoming a little taller next time we inhale and a little more relaxed next time we exhale.
Bringing our attention to our breath and our body.
And being with our breath and our body in the present moment.
If your mind wanders it's completely fine we just return and know that each time we notice our mind has wandered.
It's our powers of focus have become a little stronger.
That's what the job is just noticing and returning.
And we'll see if we can do that without any criticism.
Can we just rest here for a moment with nothing else to do.
And then I invite you to bring your attention to your in breath.
Noticing the in breath.
And noticing it's a little bit cooler than our body.
And I invite you to imagine our in breath the silvery white of the moon.
And we're drawing it in to the base of our heart.
And to our lower lungs slowly gently.
Still comfortable.
And in that base of our heart we can rest in exquisite peace.
So any way that works for you imagine that in breath coming into the body.
Cool silvery white,
Lunar in breath.
And finding peace where the breath lands.
Excuse me making sure the breath is comfortable and natural.
And resting in the peace of our heart space for a moment.
And I invite you to take your attention to your out breath.
Notice how it connects you with the world about you.
Feel it's warmth.
Pulsating the breath Airport.
So we can imagine that out breath with a solar element.
So you can imagine that out breath is the colour of sunshine.
The warmth and the energy of the sun,
The power of the sun.
So we inhale cool silvery light into our peaceful heart and we exhale our energy,
Our solar light into the world.
Comfortable breath.
Breathing So what I invite you to consider with this breath,
This eclipse breath,
Is as you exhale your energy goes out into the world,
Your work,
Your enthusiasm,
The tasks you do,
The dreams you have,
The things you try and achieve.
We put ourselves out there and then we inhale and return to our peaceful centre.
Exhale into the world,
Inhale to our peaceful heart.
And that operates continuously.
We do a task and we hope for an outcome.
But if we desire peace we don't desire it in the outcome,
We have it already in our heart.
So we do the task even hoping for something.
But we leave our expectations at the door and return to our peaceful heart.
And then we go round again.
We respond again,
We act again.
We can let go of the fruit of those actions even as we hope for certain outcomes.
Because being attached to the fruit of that outcome is a sure fire way of finding unhappiness.
And so when we practice this yoga,
We act,
We release it into the world,
We return to our peaceful heart with the in-breath.
We act,
We return to peace.
We act,
We return to peace.
We do return to peace.
As continuously as we breathe.
Without this wisdom we can get caught up in the act,
Act,
Act,
Hope,
Hope,
Hope without the in-breath back to peace.
And so with this practice we can have,
Maybe find a healthier balance of our achieving,
Our acting.
Because it's wonderful to act and to achieve.
So long as it's wonderful it can also be out of balance.
And our breath is there to remind us.
Inhale,
Return to peaceful centre.
Exhale,
Act in the world.
Exhale,
Act in the world.
Exhale,
Act in the world.
Let's allow our breath to energise us now.
So that in-breath can bring fresh energy and prana into the body.
We can imagine it filling our body and bringing movement with it.
And we can start to move our body,
Have a little stretch.
And slowly return to our regular waking state.
Thank you for practicing with me.
