Renowned Vipassana Meditation Teacher, Jack Kornfield, said, "We as human beings have the amazing capacity to be reborn at breakfast every day". What a beautiful invitation to begin again. Take a deep breath as we practice remembering that we always have the choice to start fresh, to respond to life differently, and stay open to possibility.

Welcome.

Take a moment to arrive wherever you are and however you are.

Let your eyes close gently or soften your gaze.

Begin by bringing awareness to your breath.

No need to change anything.

Just notice the natural rhythm of your inhale and exhale.

Let yourself settle into the support beneath you.

Feel the weight of your body being held by the ground,

The chair,

The cushion.

Know where else you need to be.

Nothing else you need to do.

This is for you.

Take a slow,

Deep breath in and let it go with a long,

Steady exhale.

Again,

A deep inhale and a full,

Releasing exhale.

Let this breath be an invitation to begin again,

To return to yourself,

To this moment.

With each breath,

You clear a little space.

A space for something new.

Space for what's next to gently unfold.

Imagine the energy of new beginnings like the soft light of dawn,

Quiet,

Tender,

Filled with possibility.

You don't have to know what's coming.

You only need to make room for it.

If it feels supportive,

You might place a hand over your heart or on your belly.

Feel your own warmth,

Your own steadiness.

Let yourself be reminded you've done this before.

You have begun again and you can begin again now.

You're not starting from scratch.

You're starting from experience,

From wisdom,

From growth.

Take a breath into that knowing and exhale into trust.

Right here in the stillness,

Plant a quiet intention.

Not a goal to chase,

But a gentle direction,

A message from within that says,

I am ready.

I am open,

Or simply,

Here I am.

Breathe that in and let it land.

Let it infuse your inner landscape.

And now,

Slowly begin to return.

You might rub the pads of your fingers against your palms.

Maybe wiggle your toes,

Even stretching long if that feels right.

Let your eyes open to your external environment when you're ready.

Carry this sense of soft readiness and openness with you.

You can return to it at any time,

Each breath a new beginning.
