Welcome to this short guided audio that has been designed to support you to beat procrastination and get started on something you might have put off for some time.
It could be anything from practicing meditation,
Writing morning pages,
Exercising,
Playing the piano or reading a book.
Before we start,
First let's set aside any distractions.
Close the door,
Turn off any in-screen notifications,
Close all tabs and apps on any electronic devices you won't be needing.
Prepare anything you might need,
A pen and paper if you're doing writing,
Maybe a comfy seat if you're going to be meditating.
Take a deep breath in and a long breath out.
Check in with your body,
Let your mind,
Body and spirit enter into this distraction-free time and space.
Next,
Let's pick a single task you'd like to do for the next 25 minutes.
You might want to start with a challenging task or something you've been procrastinating on.
Once you've decided,
Say aloud three times to yourself what you're working on.
For example,
If I were creating something,
I would say,
I am creating for the next 25 minutes.
I am creating for the next 25 minutes.
I am creating for the next 25 minutes.
Take a few moments to do this now and now let your mind,
Body and spirit acknowledge that this is the sole thing you'll be focusing on fully for the next 25 minutes.
Finally,
Pick a word to describe how you'd like to feel at the end of this time together.
Maybe you'd like to feel awake or perhaps calm,
Focused on flow at the end.
Whatever word that comes to mind,
Let your mind,
Body and spirit connect fully with this word,
With this feeling,
With your intention.
We're almost ready to start doing this 25 minute session.
You can let go of everything outside.
I'll keep track of the time for you and let you know when the time is up.
Are you ready?
We begin in 3,
2,
1.
That marks the end of our time together.
It's now time to slowly come back.
First,
Gently begin to check in with yourself.
How are you feeling now?
Think back to the word you picked at the beginning.
Are you a little closer to how you wanted to feel at the end of our time together?
Pause and notice.
Next,
Notice what has shifted,
What has changed.
You might or might not have finished the task you intended to work on.
But remember,
Consistency is key,
Especially if you're working on a big project like writing a book,
Creating art,
Publishing a video course or even getting into the habit of meditating regularly.
The hardest part often is getting started and you've made progress just by showing up and dedicating time to work on this today.
You're welcome to listen to this audio as many times as you wish to continue your progress.
But don't forget to take breaks along the way to stay energized and focused.
Lastly,
And most importantly,
What wins,
Big or small,
Would you like to celebrate from this session?
What has unfolded in our time together?
Share your progress in a review so we can celebrate your progress together.
I hope you enjoyed our time together and have a great rest of your day.
