Welcome to this deeply relaxing recording.
Wherever you are right now,
Whether it's your first time listening or you've returned again because your mind knows what's possible here,
You can allow yourself to feel safe.
There's nothing you need to do,
Nothing you need to fix,
Nothing you need to solve tonight.
You've already done enough today,
This time is for you.
A quiet space at the end of the day can finally set things down and as you listen you don't have to try to relax.
You don't have to make anything happen,
Just let the sound of my voice be something steady,
Something calm,
Something you can gently lean into.
Because even if your mind is still a little busy,
Even if part of you is still holding the day,
That's okay.
You can drift at your own pace and as you settle in you may begin to notice something simple,
Something reassuring.
You're allowed to rest,
You're allowed to stop and you're allowed to trust that while you sleep your mind knows exactly how to reset,
To restore and quietly prepare you for a better tomorrow.
So let the world fade just a little,
Let the day soften around the edges and begin turning your attention inward to the gentle rhythm of your own breathing.
Now,
Without forcing anything,
Just notice your breath,
Not changing it yet,
Just becoming aware and when you're ready you can begin to guide it gently,
Breathing in for the gentle rhythm,
For one.
There's no effort in this,
It's like a slow wave in,
Exhale,
As a quiet signal to your nervous system.
It's safe now,
You can let go.
And as that rhythm continues,
Or you just choose to allow your body to breathe for you,
You may begin to feel your body responding without needing to direct it.
Your shoulders may soften,
Your jaw may loosen,
Your eyelids may grow heavier.
You don't need to check,
You don't need to monitor,
Your body already knows how to relax.
So beginning at the top of your head,
Imagine a gentle warmth there,
Like the last glow of evening sunlight.
And as you breathe out,
That warmth begins to drift downward across your scalp,
Behind your eyes,
Softening the muscles of your face,
Letting your forehead smooth and your cheeks to relax.
As you continue breathing,
Gently and easily,
That warmth flows into your neck,
Your shoulders and with each long exhale,
You can feel the weight you've been carrying just sliding away,
As though gravity itself is helping you.
Down into your arms,
Elbows,
Wrists and hands,
Right to the tips of your fingers,
Loose,
Heavy,
At ease.
And now that same release moves to your chest,
The muscle softening,
Your breathing becoming smooth and quiet.
Each small supporting muscle can let go of its duty for the night.
And down into your abdomen,
Relaxing deeper through the hips,
Areas that often hold old tension,
Old effort,
Allowed not to rest.
And then just breathing out just a little bit longer,
As you relax deeper through the thighs,
Knees,
Calf muscles,
Ankles,
Feet,
Toes,
Soles of the feet,
Your whole body supported,
Deeper relaxed.
You can allow your breathing to just guide itself,
No longer counting,
The rhythm continues all on its own.
And in this quiet,
Drifting state,
You don't need to stay alert,
You don't need to actively listen,
You can just simply let the words wash over you,
Through you,
Knowing that everything important will be received by the part of your mind that already knows how to change.
And now with your body already resting,
Your mind can begin to drift in a different way.
You may imagine that you're standing at the edge of evening,
Not a place you have to go,
Just a feeling,
That moment when the day is finished,
And the night begins,
The air is calm,
The world is quieter,
There's nothing pulling at you anymore,
And in front of you,
There is a gentle path,
Not demanding,
Just a soft,
Natural slope,
Leading downward into comfort,
Into rest,
Into sleep,
And you don't need to walk it,
You simply allow yourself to drift.
Each breath out is like taking one small step,
Not effort,
Just easing forward,
In,
And away.
With every slow exhale,
You move a little deeper,
Time,
Into this deep relaxation,
The further you drift,
The quieter,
The signs grow distant,
Thoughts are like clouds passing across the sky,
You don't chase them,
You don't follow them,
You simply let them drift by,
Because nothing needs your attention now,
This place is yours,
A private space where nothing is expected of you.
And as you continue downward,
You may notice that the light around you is changing,
Not disappearing,
Just softening,
Like dusk becoming night,
Nothing to carry anymore today,
You can rest now.
And somewhere deeper inside,
A part of your mind recognises this,
It understands that sleep isn't switching off,
It's resetting,
It's restoring,
It's quietly preparing you for tomorrow,
So you drift further down,
Further in,
Each breath out carrying you more deeply,
Into this calm inner space.
And you don't have to imagine clearly,
You don't have to visualise,
It's enough just to sense the direction.
And as you settle into this depth,
Your mind becomes open and receptive,
Like a warm soil ready for new seeds.
And in this state,
There's no struggle for change,
It happens naturally,
Because this is the space where your mind learns in the background,
Where it rearranges itself,
Where it prepares the version of you that will awaken tomorrow,
A little lighter,
And you don't need to do anything to make that happen,
You simply drift,
Allowing your mind to become ready for something new,
Mind becomes especially receptive.
This is where your mind does it's best work,
This is where patterns shift,
Where old habits loosen,
Where new ways of being begin to form,
Because while you sleep,
Your mind continues,
It sorts,
At night,
It begins rehearsing a different version of you,
A version that wakes with more ease in the morning,
With more clarity,
More self-trust.
You don't need to become someone else,
You don't need to be perfect,
You simply become more yourself.
The part of you that already knows how to cope,
The part of you that has handled far more than you give yourself credit for,
The part of you that quietly gets on with things,
Even when they feel uncertain,
And as you rest here,
Your unconscious mind begins to absorb a few simple truths,
You are capable,
You handle things better than you think,
You don't have to force confidence,
You grow into it,
Naturally,
Day by day,
And as you're asleep tonight,
Your mind begins to prepare you for tomorrow,
With no pressure,
But can you imagine that somewhere inside,
A quietness,
Clearing unnecessary noise and clutter,
It reminds you of what actually matters to you,
A subtle sense that tasks begin to feel easier to begin,
That decisions feel lighter,
That you speak with a little more certainty,
That you move with a little more steadiness,
Because your mind has already rehearsed this version of you,
Being this version of you,
And it feels familiar,
Natural,
Comfortable,
Your confidence doesn't shout,
It doesn't demand attention,
It's simply there,
In how you stand,
How you breathe,
And if something unexpected happens,
You adapt,
You pause,
You find your footing,
Because your mind remembers,
I've handled things before,
I can handle this too,
These ideas settle below your conscious thought,
They become part of how you are,
So while you sleep,
Your mind keeps working gently,
Strengthening self-trust,
Releasing unnecessary doubt,
Aligning you with a calmer,
Steadier way of moving through the world,
All without effort,
All without,
There's nothing left to do,
And your body is resting,
Your mind is drifting,
The gentle work of tonight is already underway,
You don't need to think about tomorrow or yesterday,
You don't need to plan or prepare,
Your unconscious mind is already doing that for you,
All you need to do now is nothing,
And if at any point you awaken briefly in the night,
There's no need to be alert or engaged,
You may simply notice the sound of my voice,
Or music,
And allow it to remind you,
You're safe,
You can drift again,
And you may find that each time you return,
You drift to sleep even faster,
Even deeper,
Back into this calm,
Beautiful state,
Because your mind learns this path,
It recognizes this space,
It knows how to come back here,
Now,
The edges of thought are soft,
Words become distant,
And the sound continues,
You don't need to listen,
You can simply let it pass through you,
Your mind restores,
And here,
Your mind becomes especially receptive,
This is where your mind does its best work,

But calm,
Organised,
You imagine that somewhere inside,
A quiet part of you,
Clearing unnecessary noise and clutter,
It reminds you of what actually matters to you,
After a wonderful night's sleep,
A subtle sense,
And you may notice tomorrow,
