Find a comfortable place to sit or lie down,

Close your eyes and take a deep breath in.

This will help you increase confidence and self-belief,

And as you breathe in allow your body to relax more and more with each breath.

As you breathe in feel calm and peace entering your body,

And as you breathe out just let go of any tension,

Stress or worries.

Continue to breathe slowly and deeply,

Continue to breathe slowly and deeply.

Now imagine a gentle wave of relaxation beginning at the top of your head.

Feel this wave slowly moving down,

Relaxing your forehead,

Your eyes,

Your cheeks and your jaw.

Let this wave of relaxation flow down through your neck,

Your shoulders,

Your arms.

Feel it moving down through your chest,

Your back and your stomach.

Allow it to flow through your hips,

Your legs and all the way down to your feet,

Becoming more and more deeply relaxed.

And as your eyes are closed and your breathing is beautifully relaxed,

You're drifting deeper and deeper into a state of calm and relaxation.

Imagine yourself standing at the top of a beautiful staircase.

There are ten steps leading down to a place of deep relaxation.

With each step you take you'll feel more and more relaxed.

Taking the first step down,

Feeling calm and peaceful.

The second step down,

Deeper and deeper relaxed.

Taking the third step down,

Letting go completely.

Take the fourth step down,

Feeling safe and secure.

The fifth step down,

Halfway there and deeper still.

The sixth step down,

Every muscle in your body relaxed.

The seventh step down,

Your mind and your body calm.

The eighth step down,

Almost there.

The ninth step down,

Deeper and deeper.

Take the tenth step down and you've reached a state of deep,

Deep relaxation.

And in this deeply relaxed state,

Your mind is open and receptive to positive suggestions.

Imagine yourself standing in front of a large beautiful mirror.

As you look into the mirror,

You see a reflection of yourself that is confident,

Strong and full of self-belief.

It might be difficult to imagine this at first,

But it will get easier to imagine that reflection of yourself who is strong and confident and full of self-belief.

Notice how you stand with your posture,

Standing tall with your shoulders back and your head held high.

See the calm and assured expression on your face.

Noticing how you breathe,

Noticing how you look calm and confident and self-assured in that pleasant easy way.

In your mind,

There will be some affirmations that you can repeat,

Allowing each one to sink deeply into your subconscious mind.

So in your mind,

Repeat,

I am confident and capable.

I am confident and capable.

I believe in myself and my abilities.

I believe in myself and my abilities.

I am worthy of success and happiness.

I am worthy of success and happiness.

I face challenges with strength and resilience.

I trust myself to make the right decisions.
