This is your time,

Just 5 minutes to let go of the noise and return to calm,

Find a comfortable position you can sit or lie down,

Let your hands rest gently and take a slow deep breath in,

Releasing the breath,

Relaxing the body,

With each breath that you take,

Feel your body becoming heavier and more relaxed,

Releasing all tension,

Inhale through the nose down to the tummy,

Breathing out longer,

Exhaling any tension that you feel,

There's nowhere to be right now but here,

This is your safe space,

A gentle wave of calm begins at the top of your head,

Downwards across your face,

Across the shoulders and your chest,

Every muscle softening,

Your mind may wander but that's ok,

Simply bring your attention back to the sound of my voice,

Allowing the eyes to close and in this moment,

Imagine a warm light surrounding you,

A gentle glow like golden sunlight on a peaceful morning,

This is your inner calm,

This light is your inner calm and your natural state,

It gently washes away the static in your mind,

Every thought and every worry dissolves away,

You're safe,

You're grounded,

You are ok,

Let these words settle deep into your subconscious,

I am safe,

I am calm,

I am in control,

I am safe,

I am calm,

All parts of your body and your mind feeling safe,

Calm and in control,

Just allow your mind to drift and wander to a beautiful place of peace and calm and tranquility,

It could be a memory or an imaginary place,

You can drift and wander,

I am safe,

I am calm,

I am in control,

In a moment I'll count from one to five and with each number you can gently return to the present,

Clear,

Refreshed and calm,

One,

Noticing your body and how it feels,

Two,

Bringing awareness to your breath,

Three,

Taking in the sounds around you,

Four,

Gently moving your fingers and toes,

Five,

Eyes open,

Wide awake,

You've just given your mind the reset it needed,

You're centered,

You're in control and you can return to this feeling anytime you choose.
