Sit with your back,

Your neck and your head straight.

I want you to choose a specific spot in nature,

In your view.

Maybe it's a tree,

Maybe it's a plant,

But choose one thing that really feels like it's presenting itself to you.

Like it really catches your eye.

And I want you to stare at the tree or plant.

And I want you to begin to really notice it.

And while you can see with your eyes this plant or tree,

I want you to also sense the tree.

Really sense the experience,

The inner experience of sensing the life that is within the tree and not only the form that you're seeing.

The form that you're seeing with your eyes is the form in your mind,

But you can sense the tree.

Can you sense that?

And just feel the sense of that life that you are recognizing within the plant.

And notice that you're recognizing within the plant the same life that is within you.

And through you,

It is being acknowledged.

Notice it quietly and open up more and more to sensing the experience of that life that is in the plant.

Notice how unassuming the plant is,

How humble the plant is,

How non-boastful the plant is.

It is just being.

And it is a beautiful example of just being.

Feel how that connects with you.

How you connect with it and allow yourself to recognize the unity of that life.

Stay there in noticing everything on that plant.

Notice the leaves,

At what stage they're in.

And notice how the plant is being with them too.

Not pulling,

Not pushing.

Just being in the moment with them,

With everything.

Every time your mind might become distracted,

Bring yourself back to the life that is unfolding through the plant.

That you can sense that is also unfolding in you.

Notice how easily the mind becomes still.

How you become still and present.

And that presence.

That presence is always there.

When you're busy it's there.

When you're not busy,

When you're sleeping,

That presence is always there.

And you can bring your attention to that and allow your attention to remain on that presence throughout the day.
