Welcome to this meditation designed for you to find your authenticity.
Start by finding a comfortable seat,
Noticing your sit bones making contact with whatever is beneath you.
Notice where your feet are,
Whether they're crossed or making contact with the floor.
And I'll invite you to find your breath.
Noticing how the breath is flowing at the moment.
As you inhale the body expands,
Creating space,
Openness.
And as you exhale the body softens.
Start to notice if any parts of the body feel tight or tense and just gently bring your attention to them.
Connecting to the sensations arising in the body.
Notice how this influences your breath.
Now as you further let go into the support beneath you,
I invite you to check in and see what your heart is asking for.
What is important to you?
How do you feel at this moment?
What sensations in the body are arising?
As you allow space in your body,
As we allow time to pass,
I invite you to send your breath into the heart space,
Sending your breath to the sides of the ribs,
The side body.
Sending your breath to the back of your body,
The lower back,
The upper back.
Notice the connection of your heartbeat with the movement of your breath.
Practicing acceptance and non-judgment as all the emotions and sensations,
Thoughts and feelings pass by.
Now coming back to the question asked before,
I'm going to invite you to check in with what your heart is asking for one more time.
Notice what is important to you.
Notice how you actually feel instead of how you're supposed to feel.
Notice if the thoughts in your head,
The thoughts in your mind are actually yours or whether they're thoughts of someone else's.
Notice behaviors perhaps ingrained into your memory.
Were those behaviors actually yours or did you act because you thought you should be someone else?
As you contemplate and as you notice,
Bringing compassion and non-judgment into this contemplation.
As we come back to authenticity,
We think about how it is to truly live to our desires,
To our wishes,
To who we are instead of who we think we should be.
As we wrap up our time here together,
I invite you to spend the last few moments thinking of something that you could do today that helps you find and come back to this authenticity.
Whether it's something you think,
Your thoughts,
Whether it's something you do,
Your behaviors,
Whether it's something you say,
Your voice.
Notice,
Just notice.
And along with authenticity comes with an element of compassion.
Living in alignment,
Living with compassion and living with authenticity.
These are things that are already in us,
We just have to realize it.
We just have to bring them into our lives,
Into the surface.
Sending your breath to the sides of the ribs,
The back of the body,
Perhaps into the chest.
Feel the expansion,
The spaciousness.
And as you exhale,
Let it all out.
We have come to the end of the practice.
Thank you for joining me today and I wish you a great day ahead.
