Hey and welcome to this Saraswati Nidra.

So this is inspired by the season that Saraswati takes us into and her moving us into spring and feeling the abundance of Saraswati.

So let's get comfortable and I hope you have had a few moments to just consider everything that Saraswati stands for and encompasses and feeling that intention to maybe connect to creativity,

To connect to your voice,

To connect to your own authenticity and then I invite you to start to settle,

Find yourself in a comfortable place.

Lying down would be my suggestion but if you feel that it's better for you to sit that's totally okay,

Just find yourself in a place where you feel supported if you're sitting.

So maybe that's a bolster,

Something supporting your back.

Then let's get ready for this delicious yoga nidra inspired practice to help you shift beautifully into the season of rebirth,

Into higher thinking and connection and even if where you are the external season is winter,

Maybe through this we can invite the internal season to be one of spring.

Take a pillow or a blanket and just place it under your head.

I would cover myself with a blanket just so that you can really get snuggly and you won't be tempted to move and look for anything during our practice.

Making yourself as relaxed as you can be.

In this moment together there is absolutely nothing that you need to do,

Nowhere you need to be.

Laying down,

Traditionally this would be in savasana,

In that kind of open position on your back but I invite you to just find whatever's comfortable for you,

Somewhere that you can be for the next 20 minutes.

Relax your shoulders away from your ears.

Notice if there's anything in your body that you're holding or scrunching,

Like a furrow in your brow or maybe making fists with your hands or wrinkling your toes and let yourself breathe into that space.

Breathe in together,

Let's just relax and let go.

Starting to feel this stillness,

Resting in this stillness.

Can you feel the way the space is beginning to change around you?

Just from your intention,

Your intention to gift yourself these next few minutes,

To decide that this time will be a sacred moment.

Let your sense of hearing reach out and receive all the sounds without thinking about them,

Just letting them flow.

And then notice any sounds in the room that you are in.

What about the sounds of your own body breathing?

Feel the weight of your body,

The clothes on your skin.

There is nothing for you to do,

You can just let go,

Let go,

Let go.

Offer the suggestion to yourself that in this practice,

You won't sleep,

But you will allow yourself to be in that mid-zone where you're not asleep,

Although not fully awake,

But in this golden energy light zone,

Allowing magic to happen,

Transformation to occur.

As you gaze into your third eye space,

Feel the shift of your intention to invite the season of spring,

To feel that it's coming,

That it's arriving.

Even if you know outside is a different season.

Invite spring to happen inside you or in your home.

Feel the invitation of creativity and flow in the air,

And feel that spring is arriving.

Nature wakes up,

Rested and renewed,

Ready to spring forth in beautiful new ways.

Rivers and seas flow,

And you can imagine that transition from winter to spring as things that have been frozen start to thaw out,

And the water flows once more.

The sunshine starts to appear,

And you can sense that all of life is happening in you,

And you can emerge in this radiant new form too,

Re-energised and fresh.

You picture yourself effortlessly following this spring rhythm of nature.

Rest has come to an end,

And the season of rebirth is arising.

Without fear,

You feel yourself prepare for change.

You let go of any old ideas or behaviours,

Those ones that feel heavy,

Like they've been weighing you down,

Like winter.

What is it that you are leaving behind?

What is it that you're shaking off,

Allowing this space for metamorphosis and change?

And you know that it is perfectly natural to follow this rhythm of change.

Just like the earth changes its season,

Embracing the potential change,

The opportunity for new experiences,

New perspectives,

New learning,

New growth,

Free-flowing speech and wisdom,

New levels of joy,

Peace,

And knowledge,

Embodying the goddess Saraswati.

You can see yourself being reborn.

Maybe you can see yourself as if you are emerging from the bud of a lotus,

Coming out of this lotus flower,

With radiant skin,

Glowing.

And as you emerge,

You can hear the beautiful sound of songbirds.

You can hear the chorus of spring.

And you can feel your heart leading the way for you.

Take a moment and feel into this new opportunity.

You can feel your heart.

You can feel your heart amplified by the energy of the spring season,

As if it is beating and raising the vibration within you and around you.

Just ready for this new season to gather momentum.

And as you feel into this,

Let go and shift.

And you can feel that you shift beautifully into the season of rebirth and awakened consciousness.

You feel that you shift beautifully into the season of rebirth and awakened consciousness.

You feel that you shift beautifully into the season of rebirth and awakened consciousness.

As we begin,

Taking your attention from crown of head to the scalp as it flows from forehead to these brows,

The settling body now receives the nourishment of rest.

Between the brows,

Through resting eyes,

The eyelids,

Right and left,

Between the eyes,

The rest is here.

And all they see is welcomed in,

Within the ears,

Behind the ears.

These places now can rest.

The nostrils welcome every breath,

And both the lips and tongue are nourished now by restfulness,

Are nurtured now by rest.

The teeth and throat,

The roof of your mouth,

The chin is still because there is nothing to be said.

The back of neck,

The whole of spine,

And both sides of the neck.

The throat pipe now is soft within,

All resting here and settling into yoga nidra now.

Across the shoulders,

Down both arms,

And into hands this flows.

The yoga nidra state is here to nourish and restore the palms of hands and fingertips.

The spaces in between the thumbs and index fingers of both hands are resting now.

On left and right,

From hand to hand,

The middle fingers and the fourth,

Both little fingers resting too.

And all the webbing in between the fingertips and cuticles,

The nails of both these hands.

On right and left,

On left and right,

The whole of both hands now can rest.

Every place is nurtured now by this.

Both palms and belly now can just be resting in this place.

This yoga nidra time is now,

And every breath is rest.

From belly up to chest and breasts,

There is a flow of restfulness.

Within this heart,

A space to be attentive to the pulse allows the heart and mind to be.

Whilst stomach receives rest,

So centred in the navel is the nourishment of rest.

Both hips and genitals can be at rest.

Anus and pelvis too.

Whilst all throughout the pelvic floor,

This rest is nurturing.

These hips and knees,

These shins and calves,

The ankles and both feet are welcomed in the resting place of yoga nidra now.

The tops of feet,

The soles and toes,

The right foot and the left.

The spaces in between the toes are settled into rest.

No need to take another step.

The place to be is here.

Now bringing your awareness to your breath.

Become aware of the chest and notice the body breathing itself.

Gently rising and falling.

There's nothing for you to do.

Just watch.

Bringing your awareness to the nostrils,

But without making any changes to your breath.

Just feel that the breath is coming in from far away in two separate streams through the nostrils.

Two streams coming in through the nostrils and meeting at the point between the eyebrows.

Two streams coming in from afar through the nostrils to meet at the point in between the eyebrows,

The third eye.

You can follow them with your intention.

And as you breathe,

You can feel that third eye space,

The center for intuition and knowing.

You can feel it start to attract the prana and the energy.

Where your awareness goes,

The energy flows.

And as you breathe,

Breathing in,

Following it,

Feeling them come in.

Starting at the number nine and as you breathe out,

That completes nine.

Breathing in,

Drawing the energy into the third eye.

Breathing out,

Allowing it to disappear in two directions,

Eight.

Inhaling to the third eye.

Breathing out,

Sending that breath prana in two different directions,

Seven.

Breathing in,

Drawing it into the third eye.

Breathing out,

Allowing it to disappear in those two different directions,

Six.

Continue the count all the way down to one.

Releasing your breath count.

Taking your attention back into that third eye space.

Connecting to Saraswati.

The song of Saraswati,

The realization of my purpose here.

Each spring morning when I rise before dawn,

Before I open closed eyes,

I may see the essence of my soul's etheric body that dwells deeply inside of me.

As I look at my face in the mirror,

What is my face really looking at me?

I feel centered and calm amongst the chaos in hopeful longing to be set free.

Saraswati,

Please play your sweet music.

Write words and sing with your mandolin.

Please enlighten all of my senses to discern I've been reborn again.

I defer to your wisdom,

Dear goddess,

In knowing of my earth-born plight.

My karma,

Like an opaque veil,

Is lifted as your song within my heart takes flight.

And all you need to do now is just let go for a few moments of silence and simply be.

Allow yourself just to marinate here for the next three minutes.

And as we begin to feel back into our space,

Just feeling back into that intention that was invited in the beginning,

Feeling yourself shift.

Shifting beautifully into the season of rebirth and awakened consciousness.

Shifting into the season of rebirth.

Shifting into the season of rebirth.

Know that your intention has been received deep in your being and it's already taking place.

Being gentle with yourself,

Start to notice your breath,

Your body resting,

Breathing itself,

Listening for the soft sound of your body breathing.

Feel the sensation of your body breathing.

Become aware of the room that you're in,

The floor,

The walls,

The ceiling,

The sounds in the room.

Knowing that this experience is coming to an end and just finding yourself deep in your body,
