Welcome,
My name is Vanessa and today I'll be sharing a short breath awareness practice that you can do to help you become more present and available for yourself.
And all those you come in contact with.
So I'd like you to find a position to sit or lie down.
And start by taking a few deep releasing breaths.
Breathing in through your nose.
Out through your mouth.
To release initial tension.
From here,
Just begin to notice the support of the earth or whatever you're sitting on.
That's holding you up.
And ground yourself into that support with your sitting bones,
With your feet.
Feel held.
When you feel supported and held.
You can notice the flow of your breath.
You might place a hand on your belly.
And watch.
Experience.
The rise and fall of your belly.
As it's happening in your body.
Without changing the pace or cadence of your breath.
Watch and experience the flow of your breath breathing you.
Feeling your belly expand with each breath in.
Fall back down with each breath out.
Imagine that your breath is.
A wave of breath that flows through you.
And around you.
As you inhale.
You inhale.
The life force.
The breath,
The prana,
The wave of the breath,
And it fills you.
And on the exhale.
Your flow or wave of breath releases your body.
Back out into the space around you.
Can you stay with your breath as you're breathing?
Aware of the ground underneath you.
As the.
Ocean of breath around you.
Comes into your body.
Recharges,
Renews every cell of your body.
And then the ocean of breath leaves you.
Leaves your body.
Back out into the space around you.
This infinite life force breath.
Or ocean of breath.
Is around us.
And within us.
We are exchanging.
This life force within.
And around.
And notice now you might like to place a hand on the heart.
That this ocean of breath.
Not only fills you on the inhale,
But as it leaves you.
You might send it.
To a person in need,
A family member.
A place that needs healing.
So that not only are you healing yourself with your breath in,
Put on your breath out.
This life force that we're all connected to.
Being consciously or felt for those in need.
And to finish,
You can place your hands together.
And honor yourself,
Honor your practice.
Of setting a little bit of time aside to connect to the earth.
And this infinite flow of life force breath.
That can heal.
Ourselves.
And those around it.
