Today,
I have a mindfulness challenge for you,
And it consists of doing something for yourself today.
But I constantly ask people,
So what do you like to do?
And they never know the answer to that question.
Yeah,
You may like to watch TV,
But when you watch TV,
Are you really doing something for yourself?
Or are you just trying to distract yourself?
Think about it.
When was the last time you did something for yourself?
Something that you like to do,
Not that others like to do?
I know it's very easy to get influenced,
But it's time to do something for yourself.
And our inner child knows.
We know what we like,
But we've just ignored it.
We forgot it right about to we're about eight years old.
That's when we forget everything.
That's when we forget what we want to do in life,
What we like to do,
And we just get easily influenced by others.
So that's why today we're going to do a short meditation to connect with our inner child.
We're not going to think about everything we need to heal with our inner child.
No,
That's a different story.
We're just going to connect with him or her to see what she liked to do or what he used to like to do.
And we're going to do it,
And that's today's mindfulness challenge.
So I'm going to ask you to sit in a very comfortable position or even lie down and take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Take another deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Feel how your lungs start filling up with air and how you feel when you breathe in and how you feel when you breathe out.
Take a moment to focus on your breathing and to connect with yourself.
And now,
Feel how your body just starts melting right where you are.
Feel how you just feel a little bit more relaxed and you become aware of your body.
Become aware of where you are,
What you're doing,
What you feel.
Take a moment to just breathe.
And now,
Imagine you're seeing a kid in front of you.
He's a little far away or she's a little far away and you can't really picture him or her yet.
Now imagine that you're walking and you're getting closer,
Closer to this person,
To this kid.
Become aware of your steps while you're walking.
Become aware of your body while you're walking.
And now,
You're getting closer to this kid and now you can see this kid and you've noticed it's yourself,
It's your inner child,
It's your younger self right in front of you.
And you get so excited,
You give this kid a hug,
A huge,
Huge hug.
Feel this hug,
You're hugging yourself,
You're hugging that inner child,
That magic inside you.
You're hugging this person with lots of love.
And now,
You're looking at your kid in front of you and you're going to ask him or her,
What do you like to do?
Wait for the answer,
It could be anything.
Either dance the hokey pokey,
Draw,
Paint,
Color,
It could be anything.
Ask the kid,
Take a few moments to listen,
Trust yourself,
Trust your inner child,
Trust that voice inside you,
Your kid's talking to you.
Now that you've listened to your inner child,
Give yourself a hug,
A huge hug and say thank you,
Thank you.
Because today,
You're going to do something for yourself,
Something that you have always liked to do.
Say thank you and goodbye to that inner child.
And gently see how he or she just fades away.
But you're happy today,
You're happy because you're connected with your inner child and you're going to do this mindfulness challenge.
Now take a few deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Another deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Become aware of where you are and what you're doing.
Become aware of your body and when you're ready,
You can open your eyes.
I really hope you can do this challenge.
I really hope you can do something for yourself and you've discovered that one question,
Well,
What do you like to do?
Thank you so much for listening.
Thank you for supporting my audios.
Sending you lots of love and light.
Namaste.
