Welcome to your root chakra meditation.
Take a moment to create a safe and nurturing environment for your meditation practice today.
Declutter your physical space,
Perhaps create a cozy corner or surround yourself with objects that bring a sense of stability and security.
When you are ready,
Take a moment to find a comfortable seated position,
Perhaps with a cushion underneath your sitting bones.
Get as comfortable as possible and at this time if it feels safe for you,
I invite you to close your eyes,
Let your eyelashes interlace and focus on your breath.
Notice your in-breath and observe your out-breath.
Soft,
Natural breathing,
No effort and at this time nothing else matters.
Nothing else exists but your body and your breath.
Soft,
Natural breathing,
Inhaling through the nose,
Exhaling out the mouth,
Inhaling through the nose and audibly exhale out the mouth,
Letting something go.
Inhaling through the nose and exhaling out the mouth.
We'll now seal the lips and continue to take slow,
Deep breaths in and out of the nose.
On your next inhale,
Start to spine,
Feeling the space between each and every vertebrae.
Exhaling,
Feel your seat grounding down into the earth beneath you.
Inhale,
Lengthen the spine as the crown reaches even further up to the sky.
Exhale,
Feel your seat grounding down beneath you.
Inhale,
Feel your spine lengthen and elongate towards the sky.
Exhale,
Feel your seat firmly rooted into the earth beneath you.
Bringing your attention now to the base of the spine,
The home of the root chakra.
Imagine a deep,
Red,
Vibrant,
Glowing light at the base of your spine.
Imagine it in every detail.
This glowing,
Red light radiating energy throughout the entire body.
The more you focus on this deep,
Red light at the base of your spine,
The more it grows.
This light expanding and growing with each inhale and every exhale,
Filling the base of the spine with warmth and vitality,
Bringing you a sense of security and safety.
This beautiful red light holding you,
Grounding your physical body in this very moment.
This red light filling you with stability and grounding.
Now imagine roots starting to grow at the base of your spine into the earth beneath you.
These roots start to reach deep into the earth beneath you.
Feel these roots grounding you into the earth,
Giving you a sense of stability and safety.
Feeling the earth supporting you and truly holding you in this very moment.
Providing a safe space for you to release your fears,
Release any doubts,
Release any insecurities,
Release what is no longer serving you into the earth.
The release of these feelings into the earth beneath you.
The earth so graciously absorbing and releasing what is no longer serving you.
Imagine the roots at the base of your spine,
Connecting you now down to the core of the earth,
The center of the earth,
The heart of Pachamama.
As you breathe in,
You draw in this nourishing energy of the earth throughout your body and your being,
Filling up on this energy.
And as you exhale,
Releasing any fears or negative emotions,
Letting them dissolve into the earth.
With each inhale,
Filling up on the nourishing radiant energy of the earth.
And with each exhale,
Releasing any fears,
Doubts,
Limiting beliefs,
Insecurities,
Any negative emotions into the earth beneath you.
Inhaling being nourished by the earth's grounding energy.
Exhaling,
Releasing what no longer serves you into the earth.
Inhaling nourishment.
Exhaling release.
Inhaling nourishment.
Exhaling release.
Inhaling nourishment.
Exhaling release.
Now bring your awareness back to your physical body.
Feel the sensations in your legs,
Feet,
Toes,
And the base of your spine.
Notice the weight of your body pressing into the surface beneath you.
With each breath,
Imagine this weight grounding you even further into the earth,
Creating a deep sense of stability and rootedness.
And as you continue to breathe deeply,
State to yourself,
I am safe and secure.
I am rooted and grounded.
Repeat these affirmations silently or out loud,
Allowing it to wash over your entire being.
Feel the truth of these statements.
I am safe and secure.
I am rooted and grounded,
Radiating throughout your being,
Sinking into the earth beneath you,
Supporting your sense of safety,
Stability,
And security.
As you breathe in,
Imagine drawing in the energy of abundance and nourishment from the earth through your roots at the base of the spine.
Visualize this radiant energy flowing up into your root chakra,
Filling it with a sense of security,
Safety,
And stability.
Fill up on this feeling and this sensation of this deep,
Red,
Radiant light at the base of the spine that starts to grow and radiate throughout the entire body.
Feeling yourself glow with the most radiant,
Deep,
Red energy you have ever seen,
This beautiful grounding energy,
This light expanding and growing with each inhale and every exhale,
This deep,
Red light radiating throughout your entire body.
Feeling the warm,
Glowing energy radiate from the base of the spine throughout your entire body.
Feel this energy revitalizing you,
Grounding you,
Providing you a sense of safety and security,
Feeling the grounding,
Earthy sensation radiating throughout your being,
Absorbing this supportive,
Grounding energy,
Providing you with security,
Stability,
And peace.
Feeling gratitude for this sensation,
For this moment in time.
Allow this feeling of gratitude to radiate throughout your entire being.
You are radiant.
You are supported.
You are grounded.
You are safe.
Slowly bring your awareness back to your physical body.
Feeling the weight of your body against the surface beneath you.
Noticing any sensations within the body,
How your body may feel different than the start of this practice.
Take a moment to acknowledge your practice.
Taking in a deep breath through the nose and exhaling out the mouth.
Another deep breath in through the nose and exhaling audibly out the mouth.
We will seal in our practice today with the mantra Lam.
This is a really ancient mantra associated with the root chakra,
Helping you to ground your energy and fill up on this sensation.
On your next breath,
Inhaling and filling up the lungs and on your exhale,
In your mind or out loud,
Say Lam.
Lam.
Inhaling through the nose.
Exhaling Lam.
When you're ready,
Start to open your eyes.
Reconnect with your surroundings.
And remember,
You can revisit this meditation whenever you need to release fear or negative emotions and reconnect with your root chakra to strengthen your sense of stability,
Security,
And peace.
