My name is Jacqueline and I'd like to thank you for joining me on this meditation.
Before I begin,
I'd just like to say a few words.
Many of us take what we have for granted and can still be dissatisfied wanting more of what we haven't got.
Our culture can make us feel we never have enough and we are never good enough.
We may think that a different relationship,
A new car or even the same hairstyle as one of the celebrities will make us happier.
But all this does is make for a miserable life.
So how can we change and really bring happiness into our life?
Happiness is a state of mind and by meditating daily on gratitude we can limit dissatisfaction and increase our contentment with the life we have.
Now let's get ready to start this meditation.
With this meditation I will begin by leading you in your gratitude and then leave you to add your own things that you're grateful for.
So if you're ready to begin,
Make yourself comfortable.
Now take a deep breath to prepare yourself and relax as you breathe out.
Take nice steady breaths.
I am grateful for my body.
I feel thankful for every breath I take.
I am grateful for my family.
I feel thankful for their presence.
I am grateful for the farmers.
I feel thankful for the food I eat.
I am grateful for I feel thankful.
I am grateful for I feel thankful.
I am grateful for I feel thankful.
I am grateful for the universe.
I feel thankful for the gifts I have been given.
Now take a deep breath in.
Bring yourself back to your room and as you open your eyes you smile and are thankful for this meditation.
