Welcome to Tranquil Sleep Meditation.
My name is Jacqueline and I'm going to take you on a sleep journey where I will leave you to enjoy a tranquil night's sleep.
So if you are ready,
Settle into your most comfortable sleep position as you snuggle into your bed.
Remove your body until you feel totally comfortable.
Pull the covers around you and enjoy their warmth and comfort as your body nestles a little more.
Now take a breath,
As deep as you like,
As you prepare for our journey.
Close your eyes and breathe in.
Hold that breath for a moment and now gently allow the breath to flow out.
Again,
Breathe in.
Hold that breath and release it as you feel your body starting to relax.
This is your time to sleep,
Your time to relax and leave the day behind.
Now as you breathe,
Allow the breaths to be a little longer than normal.
Breathe in,
2,
3,
4.
Breathe out,
2,
3,
4.
Breathe in,
2,
3,
4.
Breathe out,
2,
3,
4.
Now breathe in your own rhythm as you allow yourself to relax.
It's nearly time to start our journey as you relax a little more.
Allow your forehead to relax.
Allow your eyes to relax.
Allow your cheeks to relax.
Allow your jaw to relax.
Allow your head to relax into your pillow,
Enjoying the comfort it brings as you feel yourself relaxing more and more.
Allow your whole body to relax in your bed as peace and stillness begin to take over,
Allowing you to relax more and more.
As your body relaxes,
Your mind begins to wander on its own journey of relaxation as it wanders out into a beautiful garden.
It's warm here in the garden and you feel peaceful and happy as you wander along the neatly trimmed grass path.
The grass is soft under your bare feet and it gives you a feeling of freedom.
Nothing is restricting you.
Nothing is in your way.
As you slowly walk,
You breathe in the fresh air,
Filling your lungs as you enjoy the wonderful feeling of being alive.
You have a calmness about you,
A feeling of peace as you walk along the path.
The grass path leads to a flower garden filled with gorgeous flowers.
There are so many flowers,
You find it overwhelming to look at them all.
You notice a bench next to the flower garden,
A bench with a soft cushion upon it.
You sit down upon the cushion and make yourself comfortable on the bench as you take time to look at the flowers.
The first flower to catch your eye is a delicate snowdrop.
The white teardrop flower is a sign of hope.
Your dreams are being recognised.
You notice there are more than one snowdrop and you acknowledge that you have more than one dream.
You make a mental note of fulfilling your dreams and not delaying them any longer.
A frieza catches your eye.
With multiple pretty trumpet-shaped flowers on a single stem,
It is a lot taller than the snowdrop.
You smile as you see there are many friezias,
All of different colours,
Bright yellows,
Reds,
Oranges,
Purples and more.
These remind you of friendships,
The friendships in the past and the friendships of today.
How warm inside you feel,
Knowing people care about you.
You notice another tall flower,
A gladioli,
Such striking flowers that stand out from the crowd.
Each one has multiple orchid-like flower heads upon its thick,
Strong stem.
Their crimson-pink-purple colours look almost watery on each delicate petal.
The gladiolas remind you how strong you are and have been,
All the challenges in your life you have overcome.
You grow stronger every day,
Although you do not always recognise this.
You have the strength you need to enjoy life to the fullest.
A bunch of chrysanthemums draw your attention and you smile as the feeling of cheerfulness fills you.
With its abundance of tiny petals,
Each flower head is full to the brim with joy.
What colour is the chrysanthemum you are looking at now?
Tiny blue flowers catch your eye,
Way down on the earth of the flower garden.
It's the multiple delicate flower heads of the forget-me-nots.
The tiny five-petalled flowers almost cover the flower bed,
And as you look at them,
Someone special comes to mind.
Someone who passed away and took a piece of your heart with them.
This person stands before you and smiles.
You feel a warmth within you as you share a moment with each other.
Now,
Their image fades as your attention comes back to the flower garden.
Your eyes pass slowly over some flowers.
Pansies,
Which look like a group of smiling faces.
This warms your heart as you realise there is so much to be thankful for in life.
A bunch of lily of the valley.
These remind you of the things and people who bring you happiness.
A clump of white heather lets you know that wishes will and do come true.
And a growing hollyhock reignites the ambition you have in your belly to succeed in your dreams and goals.
You are feeling more content with life as a sense of calm and gratitude sweeps over you.
Life really is as good as you want it to be,
And there is so much to do and see when you allow your focus to spread far and wide.
You are beginning to feel sleepy,
But a beautiful smell catches your attention.
It's the smell of the honeysuckle.
You see the beautiful delicate flowers upon the woody vine and the sweet heady fragrance fills your body and mind with pure happiness.
Life really is good and you realise that you only want good things in your life.
Good things and good people.
Tomorrow it's time to rid yourself of unnecessary restrictions.
It's time to live your best life.
With this sense of determination,
Your eyes are drawn to the deep red colour of some poppies.
Their silky looking petals move delicately as if acknowledging your thoughts.
They offer strength and love as you realise the necessary steps needed to fulfil your dreams.
As sleep flitters around you,
Your gaze drops upon a beautiful clump of lavender.
Its striking purple colour calms your mind as its intoxicating smell relaxes every cell in your body.
It is time for rest and sleep.
Tomorrow is going to be a busy day and you need to feel energised to accomplish your many goals.
You take one last look over the beautiful flowers as you leave the bench.
The flowers have helped you understand yourself and the desires within you.
You close your eyes as you thank the beauty of nature,
Always there to help but never judging.
You feel a warmth around you and realise you are back in your bed.
Your mind is becoming sleepy as it relaxes along with your body.
So relaxed,
So relaxed.
Sleep is coming and you welcome it.
A flower comes to mind,
One that has special meaning to you.
You accept this flower as you welcome sleep.
With a contented heart you feel so relaxed.
A blanket of peace envelops you as you feel more and more relaxed and ready to sleep.
You feel tranquil,
You feel calm,
You feel relaxed,
You feel sleepy.
Your mind begins to close down and allow sleep to take over.
You feel so peaceful,
You feel so sleepy.
You are more relaxed than you have ever been and sleep is so close.
Darkness covers you and peacefulness fills your heart as you feel so relaxed.
You are ready and you fall into a deep,
Deep sleep.
