Welcome to tranquil sleep meditation.
My name is Jacqueline and I am going to take you on a sleep journey where I will leave you to enjoy a tranquil night's sleep.
A busy mind tries to keep you from going from awake to sleep.
During tonight's meditation you will have one last chance to think about these things.
One last chance to go through any worries or concerns that you have.
The things that are keeping you from getting a restful night's sleep.
So settle into your bed.
Focus on getting comfortable and cosy.
Pull the covers around you and cosy your head into your pillow as you gently allow your eyes to close.
Move your body a little just to be sure you're in the best most comfortable position.
Now,
Take a deep breath in.
Hold and release.
Another deep breath in.
Hold and release.
One last time.
A deep breath in.
Hold and release.
Now,
As you breathe steadily you allow your body to relax.
Check once more that you are in the most comfortable position for your restful night's sleep.
Now let's begin.
Before you settle down to sleep you are going to rid your mind of any troubles any issues you cannot deal with anything causing you anguish that is out of your control.
So,
Go ahead and think as hard as you can about anything that is stuck in your mind.
But as you do this you only give each thought one chance to think about it and then you will let it go.
So,
As each thought comes in a thought which keeps you from feeling relaxed say to that thought OK,
I've acknowledged you so now you must leave and then continue with the next thought.
Think your thoughts and only give them one chance to present themselves and then say now it's time for you to go.
As you notice these thoughts coming notice how less repetitive they are getting.
You are emptying these thoughts out by actively letting each one of them go.
As another thought comes in let it know it is time for it to go.
You have only a few moments longer to think of anything else that's left then let it go completely.
Up until now you have allowed your thoughts to have control over you keeping you from getting the sleep you deserve and need but now you are back in control and you send your unnecessary thoughts away.
One last chance to allow any thoughts to come in and now say leave my mind so that I can have the restful sleep I deserve.
And now,
As your mind becomes settled you find your body feels lighter you feel a weight has been lifted from your shoulders you feel happiness inside of you you feel warmth in your heart joy fills your being as your worries leave you the feeling of calmness comforts you a gentle floating sensation sweeps over you this is the most relaxed you have felt in a very long time.
You notice the slight sound of your gentle breath your breath is the most natural thing in this world you feel calm and relaxed you breathe a sigh of relief knowing that tomorrow will be a brighter day a day full of good things you feel really sleepy now you feel content and happy your body is so relaxed you are inviting sleep in your breath slows a bit more which means you are very relaxed and ready to doze off into a beautiful sleep it's been so long since you have been able to fall asleep so easily your body welcomes this sensation the feeling of sleep sweeps over your mind you welcome the pleasant feeling as sleep fills your body you begin to sleep deeply you deserve a restful sleep you deserve to sleep in a way that you feel completely rejuvenated when you rise in the morning as the sound of my voice fades away you fall into a deep,
