Welcome to Tranquil Sleep Meditation.

My name is Jacqueline and I'm going to take you on a sleep journey where I will leave you to enjoy a tranquil night's sleep.

So if you're ready let's get started.

Settle into your bed and move your body until you feel really comfortable.

Shift your legs and arms until they are in the best position for your night's sleep.

Pull the covers around you and feel their comfort as they cocoon you.

Now focus on your breath as you gently close your eyes.

Take a breath in and hold for a second at the top and now slowly release that breath and another breath in.

Hold for a second and slowly release that breath.

Now breathe steadily as you allow your body to relax.

Check your comfort.

Wriggle a little if necessary.

Get into the right position for you.

Comfort is key to relaxing and relaxing allows sleep to come.

Now let's breathe one more time.

Take that breath in and hold for a second and now release it and relax.

Nice steady breaths as you relax your shoulders.

Relax your arms.

Relax your stomach.

Relax your legs.

As your body feels relaxed and heavy,

Nestle your head into your pillow and allow that to relax.

Relax your jaw as you allow your breath to flow gently.

You feel a warmth around you.

A warmth that is not from your bed covers.

It's a warmth from something soft.

Something with a beating heart.

It's a comforting warmth.

In your mind's eye you find yourself flying high in the sky where you are nestled safely between the wings of a bird.

The bird's soft feathers comfort you as their warmth surrounds you.

You feel safe and comfortable as the bird gently soars up into the sky.

You have the perfect view as you nestle and make yourself even more comfortable upon the soft feathers as you begin to enjoy the ride.

It's a beautiful day.

The bird flies you over your neighbourhood.

You notice the buildings and scenery which are very familiar to you.

As you fly you remember a fun time from your childhood and suddenly notice that the bird has flown you there.

As you fly around the happy memories come flooding back as you see the scene of your past below you.

Now the scene changes as the bird flies over a place where you always feel comfortable.

Here you feel calm and content and happy.

It's your happy place.

Once again the scene changes as the bird flies you over a place you have always dreamed of going,

Somewhere you have always wanted to visit.

You enjoy this view and as you do you realise this really is a place you must visit,

A dream you will definitely make happen.

This thought fills you with happiness as you realise you are starting to feel really sleepy.

But before the bird takes you back to your bed he flies to another destination,

Somewhere you have never ever thought of going or even imagined visiting.

As you look down you see it's beautiful here,

So enjoyable.

You make a mental note of it and know that you will visit here one day.

You are really sleepy now,

Happy and sleepy.

You find yourself back in your bed,

Your cosy warm bed.

You are ready to give yourself up to sleep.

You feel the warmth of the covers around you.

You are so relaxed,

You are so at peace,

You are so content.

Sleep takes over your body,

Sleep takes over your mind.

There is nothing left to think about as you drift off to sleep.
