Time Restored,
Chapter 3.
The Car.
Autumn 2021 CE.
The next morning,
They'd planned to meet with Sophie their concierge again,
To chat through their options for the weekend,
As they were free of any meetings with the Lottery.
After their sixth rather large breakfast in their suite,
The phone that they'd forgotten about rang.
Jenna picked it up.
It was the female this time.
We hope you've had a good week,
And that you've got the book.
Jenna had forgotten about the phone and the book completely,
After such a whirlwind of five days,
And the best meal of the week at Aoki.
They had even rekindled their passion for each other that very morning.
Yes we have it,
Jenna replied,
With the interest piqued.
So the author is expecting you for Sunday lunch,
Said the female.
Meet him at his shop in Pusey at midday tomorrow.
It's called Time Restored.
Okay,
Where's Pusey?
Jenna asked.
Ask your concierge,
Was the reply.
You'll be needing your new car.
This brought a smile to Tim's face when he heard,
As after five full-on days he was feeling somewhat constrained by the busyness of London.
We'll call again in a week,
Same time.
So they checked out of the hotel and used their chauffeured car for the first time,
To take them to pick up their Tesla at Heathrow.
Sophie had explained where Pusey was,
Conveniently down the M4 from Heathrow,
At about 25 miles southwest of Newbury.
She had also booked them into a series of gastropubs for the week.
This pleased Tim,
As they could combine his love for beer with their new taste for sumptuous food in the one establishment.
The Tesla dealer took over two hours to pick up the EV car,
And told them to call or come back any time if they had any queries.
He showed Tim how to enter each of the destinations in their week-long pub crawl,
And how to find the fastest chargers that were currently available.
Jenna was getting the sense that someone was pulling their strings,
But in a nice way.
Their first overnight was just over an hour away,
A pub called the Jack Russell in Fackham,
Only 18 miles from Pusey.
Tim drove first,
And had never been in something quite that fast.
He could get used to this new lifestyle.
He was wondering how he could explain this car away with his mates at the garage.
They were also both dreading handing in their notices.
