Time Restored,
Chapter 11,
The School,
Early 2022 CE Ahead of the school's opening,
And since they moved into the gatehouse before Christmas,
Much had unfolded for Tim and Jenna.
They had been getting some private tuition from Jackie,
Who had first shown them the stones.
As well as being a proper archaeologist and an expert in antiquities,
She was also adept at past life regression.
Jenna went back easily to lives before lives.
With Tim,
She only went back a few centuries,
Including one where Jenna was his mother.
She was called Joan back then,
And he was a Tom.
So,
Are these people us in the past,
Jenna asked?
Jackie explained,
We like to refer to them as being equivalences,
As you can have several operating at the same time.
Even some may be alive right now.
Even now,
Tim asks?
What if we bumped into one of them?
Would that cause a rift in time or something?
Not at all,
Said Jackie.
They are just people who share some common experiences and parts of your life path.
Like people we've worked with,
Asked Jenna,
Thinking of one of her senior nurses.
Or just people you bumped into once,
But you got the feeling that you had met them before,
Said Jackie.
In subsequent regression sessions,
More and more made sense,
As they'd been shown why they'd actually earned their lottery win.
At one time,
Tim had been Canada's leading clockmaker,
Another Tom equivalence.
He had helped in no small way to tame a very wild west by getting the workforce in sync.
He made a small fortune by inventing a clock mechanism that sounded a steam-powered klaxon to get everyone into the factories on time.
He then invested in a trust fund with a pension company for his many offspring.
Nobody was counting wives back then,
None of them were Jenna as it happened in that life,
As a new country was being made.
A couple of centuries later,
The National Lottery in the UK was initially funded by that very same Canadian pension fund.
Tim and Jenna were loving the whole concept of time loops,
Especially when they were perfectly formed and karmically balanced.
They were also loving living in the gatehouse,
And how it suited their cover story so perfectly.
They didn't look or act like millionaires,
And nobody would ever know that they were to move into and live in the main house.
The renovations,
However,
Were due to stretch well into 2023,
But they planned for partial occupation by the summer.
In the meantime,
Graeme and the tutors had been busy on the honeycomb as Jenna had dubbed it.
They were getting it ready for the spring equinox,
And spoke about the detail of what sounded like a ceremony in hushed tones when Jenna and Tim were around.
Jenna and Tim had both become actual company directors of SOTA,
Which was incorporated,
By initial only,
At company's house,
So nobody would know it stood for School Temporal Alchemy.
The SIC code of 95250,
Repair of Watches,
Clocks and Jewellery,
Was what they'd learnt was called a blind,
Something credible and obvious that hides true magic in plain sight.
As well as their temporal loosening up sessions with Jackie,
Jenna and Tim busied themselves tracking the renovation of the main house,
And also getting to know some of the other five tutors at the Grange,
As Matthew had gone abroad.
Tim gravitated to Ben,
And Jenna to Sophie.
Anna came and went,
As they learnt she was out and about recruiting students up and down the UK.
Michelle hid herself away in the hexagon which was obviously to be the library.
Jenna was itching to see if there were any more books written by Graham in there,
But it was currently under lock and key.
Sam seemed to spend all day on a digger.
Each of the tutors both had a speciality in temporal alchemy,
And had also taken on a practical role in readying the facility for the first intake.
Sophie sourced the contractors working on site and Ben managed them.
Sophie it turned out was also an amazing manifester specialising in future entanglement.
No wonder she was so good at making things happen,
And Jenna couldn't wait to start learning from her.
Ben was also building a multimedia system in one of the hexagons with six massive screens,
Each filling an entire wall.
In the centre were 36 comfortable recliner seats on a rotating platform.
As Tim and Jenna could see,
This was going to be one amazing lecture theatre for students.
Ben gave Tim sneak previews when no outside contractors were around,
Of how to build a brick wall without a hot or a trowel.
It was a bit of a party trick for Ben,
Who could levitate the bricks into place,
And without touching them by hand,
Mix and set the mortar sticking them together,
All in no time at all.
He was the tutor of transmutation of matter,
And a dab hand at fixing anything.
As most of the contractors had already learned,
They brought all their broken tools in for him to repair.
So Jenna and Tim had also gleaned that only six tutors were to be at the school at any one time.
The other six roamed the globe,
Stabilising time rifts and looking for students.
As it happened,
The best students were often those unconsciously creating the ripples in time so they were easy to spot when you knew what to look for.
