Let's just close our eyes and feel our foundation on the synonyms.
Take a moment to scan our body to recognize what's going on.
Let your hands rest on your thighs.
We can invoke this idea of resting,
Resting in yourself.
With each exhalation,
Just allow yourself to become more heavy.
I like that same idea when we're doing Shavasana that we're lying on the floor.
The same idea of softening and letting go into the earth.
We can do the same in the meditation posture.
We want to soften.
And as we soften,
We allow the hips to be more heavy,
The arms to rest on the thighs,
The face muscles to relax,
And we bring awareness into the breath.
And as we feel the breath,
We also soften the breath.
Let the breath put you in touch with the inner body.
And as you feel the inner body,
Allow yourself to soften it.
Check how's the throat to soften the chest,
To soften the belly.
You soften the throat,
The chest and the belly.
At the same time,
See if you can pay attention to where you feel more sensation.
Which center do you feel more sensation?
Just bring awareness into that place where you feel more sensation.
See if you can discern what are you experiencing.
To that idea of softening,
But also allowing whatever is there to be there.
We're really not trying to change anything,
We're just trying to allow whatever is there to be as it is,
And to become more acquainted with it.
As you focus on our particular sensation,
The physical body,
You might notice some shifting,
Some movement in the sensation.
You might notice the sensation has a size,
A form,
A shape.
Sometimes sensations disappear and new ones appeared.
Or sometimes they stay without changing.
Sometimes as we feel the physical sensations in the body,
We might recognize an emotional tone to them.
Connecting with the emotional body.
So bring awareness to how is your mind this morning?
How present are you with the experience?
You know we don't force awareness,
We allow ourselves to become aware.
Becoming aware of the thoughts that come and go in the field of the mind.
I like to think that with each exhalation I become more calm,
More rested,
More still.
I become more aware of awareness itself.
Even though there's still thoughts,
Sensations,
Emotions going on,
There are more gaps where we are just simply aware.
And there you can experience rest.
Resting in awareness.
Nothing needs to change.
We don't need to find anything.
We can just allow everything to be just as it is.
In our simplicity.
We can just allow everything to be just as it is.
We can just allow everything to be just as it is.
