When we are feeling unwell, we tend to resist that feeling/sensation rather than allow it, and that resistance in itself creates more unease. This meditation is designed with the intention to help you move to a place of acceptance and surrender to what you are experiencing.

So when I'm not feeling very well and I'm going to meditate,

What I always do is come to terms with what I'm experiencing,

You know,

Just accepting but also just experiencing and letting go of resistance.

So as you breathe in and breathe out,

Notice that one thing is not feeling well and another thing is our resistance to not feeling well,

Our fear or our aversion towards not feeling well,

Our reaction.

So when we meditate we notice both of them,

Whatever we experience physically in the body but also we notice our mood,

Our state,

Our mind and as you exhale have the intention to allow things to be as they are.

There's a natural flow to nature and being sick is part of that flow.

There are days and times and periods in our life where we're very energetical and productive and there are other phases in life when we are more low energy and indrawn and that's natural.

So let yourself be where you are and as you exhale think of softening the mouth,

The tongue,

The jaw,

And the face muscles.

Notice your breathing maybe is a little limited by the congestion and that's okay.

Let it be.

Actually allow yourself to feel the congestion.

Don't try to change it or force it but know that it's a natural process and you let it be and you let yourself experience the whatever is manifesting in the nose and the lungs and the chest.

You become curious with the sensations.

Notice the eyes and the sensations of eyes.

Is there any tension in the eyes,

In the back of the eye,

In the sinuses?

As you breathe in and breathe out where is the sensation of the breath more palpable?

Is it in the chest?

Is it in the throat?

Is it in the belly?

How's your foundation?

The sitting bones?

The legs?

How is your spine?

How are your hands,

Wrists,

Elbows,

And shoulders?

Gently touching your body with the light of your awareness.

Also notice the noises around you,

The atmosphere of your house,

The morning air,

The usual sounds of the morning,

The simplicity of life.

When we release our thinking,

When you release the thinking,

Life becomes so simple.

All our complications,

Traumas come from our thinking,

Not from life.

Peace is always there.

So as you exhale,

Allow yourself to welcome simplicity,

Silence.

You're actually getting in touch with yourself,

Unencumbered by the mind,

Unburdened by the mind.

Simple presence.

Presence has its own energy field.

It's what we call peace.

We allow peace as we let go of thought.

When we become more intimate with what we are experiencing,

Physically,

Emotionally,

Mentally,

As we allow sensations to arise and subside,

Different aspects of ourselves show up and then disappear.

Sometimes it's thought patterns,

Worries,

And other times it's sensations,

Emotions,

Desires,

Fears.

Can you welcome it all,

Allowing it all,

Embracing it all as it is?

It is all nature.

We are nature.
