Finding a comfortable position to lay down on your back.
Allow your eyes to close or cover them with an eye pillow.
Make sure you are warm and comfortable.
Rest your arms.
Let your shoulders release back and down.
Your feet naturally falling out to the sides.
Your hips relaxing.
Your back letting go.
Preparing your body for deep sacred rest.
Find yourself.
This is your time to withdraw from the world.
To nourish your energy.
During your bleeding time.
One natural time of a low ebb in your energy.
Soak up this intention of conscious rest.
Into every cell of your body.
Know that you've created this space just for yourself.
Nowhere to go.
Nothing to do.
No one you need to be for anyone else.
Just your time to rest.
Feel your body becoming heavy.
Surrendering.
To the ground beneath you.
So that you have a sense of the earth.
Embracing.
Your weight.
Supporting you fully.
Feeling gravity take hold of you.
Allowing you to let go even more.
Allow your breath.
To be quiet.
Natural.
Subtle.
Enjoy the sensation of the entire body.
Letting go.
Now imagine your body is releasing back into a gigantic deep red plush pillow.
It's so soft.
So supportive.
Feel this softness all around you.
As you sink deeply in.
Now feel your body relaxing deeper now.
Relax your face.
Your eyes sinking back into their sockets.
Like two pebbles sinking deep into a bottomless pond.
Soften all the tiny muscles around your eyes.
Smooth out across your forehead.
And into your temples.
Allow your jaw to relax.
Let your teeth part slightly.
Your tongue either floats in your mouth.
Or tip of tongue on roof of mouth.
Gather up a little bit of saliva.
As you swallow.
Consciously let go of any holding in the inner walls of your throat.
Now move your awareness down through your body.
Relax your neck and your shoulders.
Feel your chest broaden and open.
Relax down through your ribs and into your lungs.
Softening across your diaphragm.
Feel your arms and legs heavy and loose.
Feel your back melting.
And then settle your awareness into your belly.
Relax there as you feel the gentle rise and fall of your natural breath.
And then bring more awareness into the back of your body.
Feel your back body broad.
Feel it spreading.
Feel it melting.
And then move your awareness up into the space behind your closed eyes.
This dark space.
This infinite space.
As wide,
As high and as low as you can see.
Feel into this space.
Go deeper and deeper into the blackness.
So you feel you're being wrapped in this space behind your closed eyes.
For your whole body is soaking up in the darkness.
Feel it spreading in all directions around you.
In this space,
There is no fear.
No pain.
No tension.
Just complete acceptance.
Complete surrender to the blackness,
To the darkness.
Now extend your awareness in this space behind your closed eyes.
To now visualize a night sky above you.
A mantle of utter darkness,
Studded with diamond constellations of stars.
Gaze into this infinite space that has no end and no beginning.
Now can you also imagine the outline of the new moon in this night sky before you.
Feel the energy of the new moon.
It's emerging from the darkness.
There's also a feeling of newness.
New life.
New growth.
Bring that image of the new moon into your womb space now.
Breathe into your soft belly,
Your womb space and visualize the new moon nestled in your womb.
Now let go of the image of the new moon.
And imagine your womb is a room.
And you are inside it.
Imagine this room as lush and darkly lit with soft dark red furnishings and curtains.
It's warm and dark here.
Picture yourself walking around this room.
Your womb space.
And you see a broom there.
You begin sweeping with the broom.
Sweeping any debris in this beautiful feminine room.
Anything appears that you feel is unwanted.
No longer needed.
Keep sweeping until you feel that your womb space room is clean and new.
You begin sweeping.
You begin sweeping.
You begin sweeping.
You begin sweeping.
Just completing that last bit of sweeping and cleaning.
Then bring your awareness back into your whole body.
Sense your whole body resting.
Resting your body as much as you can.
Supporting your hard working body.
Your hard working womb which is working to release your sacred dark moon blood.
Save the last few moments of rest and rejuvenation of this deep relaxation practice.
Just feeling.
Just resting within yourself.
You begin sweeping.
And when you feel ready to.
.
.
Start to take a few breaths.
Just a little deeper,
A little fuller.
Bringing a gentle wakefulness and alertness in with each breath in.
Feeling the breath out keeps you in this state of relaxation.
So you can be awake and alert.
To flow through the rest of your day.
But staying restful,
Relaxed and calm.
And when you feel ready to come back into the space you're within.
You can either stay laying on your back a little bit longer.
Or if you feel ready to come up you can gently roll to your side and come to a seat.
And you just wish to either lay down or sit down quietly for a few moments.
Giving quiet thanks to your womb.
Which is the power center of your femininity.
Giving thanks to the quietness and peace of the darkness of this.
Of your sacred dark moon time.
Your special time to retreat.
And to rejuvenate your body,
Your mind,
Your spirit.
