I'm Stacy Foley.
Welcome to this guided meditation for relieving stress and anxiety.
Begin now by finding a comfortable position lying down and allow your eyes to gently close.
Start by taking a deep breath.
Allow your lungs to expand completely and release.
On your next inhale,
Breathe in deeply but hold at the top for a count of five.
Exhale and relax.
Now take another deep breath,
As deep as you can,
And hold for five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
And as you exhale,
Feel all of the stress and tension leaving your body.
Now take one last deep breath and hold for five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
And as you breathe out,
Let everything go.
Begin now by focusing on the sensations at the top of your head,
Noticing and acknowledging anything that you feel.
Let your focus begin to move down to your eyes.
Notice how your eyes feel as you allow them to relax and get heavy.
Notice now how the back of your head feels against the surface that it is touching.
As you sink deeper into relaxation,
Notice the heaviness of your head.
Let your focus move to your nose and feel the slight sensations of air moving in and out with your breath.
As you breathe in,
Imagine that you are being filled with calmness.
And as you breathe out,
Imagine your body feels heavy and deeply relaxed.
Now focus on your ears.
Notice how they feel and what you can hear around you.
When these sounds come into your ears,
They act as little waves of relaxation taking you even deeper.
Notice the sound of my voice and how soothing it is.
From here forward,
You will only hear my voice guiding you.
All other sounds passing through will take you deeper into a state of relaxation.
Now focus on your mouth and take a deep breath in,
Allowing your jaw to relax.
Unclench your teeth and allow your tongue to fall away from the roof of your mouth.
Now move your focus down to your neck.
If you feel any tension here,
Take a deep breath into that area,
Allowing it to release.
Bring your focus now to your shoulders,
Travelling down your arms,
All the way to each fingertip.
What are your fingertips touching right now?
Notice the sensations that you feel.
Allow your focus to move to your chest,
Relaxing this area as you breathe in.
If you notice any tension in this area,
Breathe deeply and relax.
Now imagine you are focusing on your heart and feeling it beating strongly,
Supporting you and giving you life.
Take a deep breath into your heart space and as you exhale,
Feel everything relax.
Now focus on your lungs,
Feel them gently expanding and contracting with each breath.
Allow your focus to move down to your pelvis and hips,
Taking you even deeper into a state of relaxation.
Notice this wonderful wave of relaxation moving from your hips down to your legs,
Your thighs,
Your knees,
Your calves,
All the way down to your feet and to the very tip of each toe.
As you drift deeper and deeper into a state of relaxation,
Allow yourself to fully let your mind slow down until everything is sauces and From now on,
You choose to be relaxed.
You choose to be calm.
You choose to be mindful of your mental,
Physical and spiritual wellness.
Remember that it is natural for you to be healthy and happy.
To live a life full of peace and joy.
As I speak the following affirmations,
Allow yourself to hear them in your mind and repeat them in your thoughts.
Each day in every way I get better and better.
I have the power to control my thoughts and emotions.
With each breath I become stronger,
Calmer and more confident.
I remain calm in stressful situations.
Worry cannot change my circumstance.
I let go of what I cannot change and do my best with what I can.
I have everything I need within me.
I trust myself to make the right decisions.
I am safe,
Protected and loved.
Allow these affirmations to resonate with your soul,
To work their way into your subconscious as you take these moments to relax.
You now have the opportunity to start a new and positive thought process.
You are learning to choose your thoughts.
So make them positive.
Make them optimistic.
As often as you can catch yourself,
Breathe in a positive attitude,
Breathe out a deep sense of peace.
Your emotions will guide you to achieve what you desire.
Listen to the voice of the heart and remember what it tells you.
Breathe with your emotions.
Let them flow in and out just as your breath does.
And trust that you know the right way to go.
Slowly return your awareness now to the present moment.
Just relax and let your mind wander to whatever it wants.
Continue to breathe in and out deeply and fully.
Feeling a deep sense of calm and peace.
Let it go.
I invite you now to slowly move your fingers and toes.
Move your head from side to side.
Allow a little bit of movement back into your body.
When you are ready,
I invite you to open your eyes.
To move forward with a calm and peaceful heart.
To spread that calmness and love to those you should cross paths with today.
To always remember that you are in charge of your thoughts.
