In this practice to honor the beginning of the fall season, we will explore five prompts focused on the themes of the Fall Equinox/Mabon. These can be used as journaling prompts and/or as a Tarot or Oracle card spread. We'll focus on what is complete and ready to be celebrated, what needs a little more care or attention, and what needs to be released this season.

Welcome.

This practice is designed to help you celebrate the fall season and celebrate Mabon,

Also known as the fall equinox.

Mabon is a harvest celebration that is typically celebrated sometime between September 20 and 23 in the Northern Hemisphere and March 20 and 23 in the Southern Hemisphere.

The exact date will depend on the calendar year.

It is a time of balance,

When we experience an equal amount of sunlight and darkness.

It's also a time to celebrate the harvest and plan ahead for the winter.

There are five prompts in this practice,

And they can be used as journal prompts or as a tarot or oracle card spread.

I recommend using them for both and seeing what insights come through for you.

You could pull the cards first and then journal on them,

Or journal first and then pull cards to shed more light on your writing.

These prompts focus on the key themes of the fall season and the equinox.

You will journal on these prompts for two minutes each.

When 30 seconds remain,

I will give you a cue to wrap things up.

If you want to write for longer,

Please feel free to pause me or revisit the prompts again later.

There's no need to write in complete sentences or with perfect grammar.

Simply jot down whatever comes to mind in the two minutes in whatever form it comes in.

You could even feel free to doodle or draw instead of writing.

And if nothing comes up,

Simply sit and meditate on the question.

We'll begin with a short breathing practice to center ourselves before we write.

Go ahead and find a comfortable position for yourself today and have your journaling materials nearby.

You are welcome to close your eyes as we breathe together,

Or find a fixed point ahead of you to gaze upon.

Begin by releasing any breath that you are holding,

Then take a nice slow breath in.

Exhale,

Sigh it out.

Inhale,

Welcome in any insights from your soul,

Your highest self,

And your spirit team.

Exhale,

Release any resistance you have to writing your truth today.

Let's do that one more time.

Inhale,

Welcome in insights,

And exhale,

Release resistance.

Continue to breathe at your own pace now,

In and out of your nose,

For a few more breaths.

Gently blink your eyes a few times to bring yourself back into your physical space,

And then go ahead and bring over your journaling materials.

Let's begin with our first prompt.

First,

What in my life is coming to completion and is ready to be celebrated?

Again,

What in my life is coming to completion and is ready to be celebrated?

Begin wrapping up your thoughts.

Second,

Where do I have untapped potential for abundance?

Again,

Where do I have untapped potential for abundance?

Let your final thoughts flow onto the page.

Third,

What will help me give proper attention and care to this area?

Again,

What will help me give proper attention and care to this area?

Release your final thoughts onto the page.

Fourth,

What do I need to release this season to create more balance in my life?

Again,

What do I need to release this season to create more balance in my life?

Capture your final thoughts.

And finally,

What cycle do I need to focus on completing in order to experience holistic abundance?

Again,

What cycle do I need to focus on completing in order to experience holistic abundance?

Begin wrapping up your thoughts.

If you feel complete,

You can go ahead and place your journaling materials aside.

If you'd like to keep going,

Please feel free to do so.
