Welcome to this morning Yoga Nidra.
You can do this meditation while still in bed.
Make sure you're comfortable and close your eyes.
Take a few deep breaths and feel your body relax into the surface beneath you.
Thank yourself for starting your day with intention and breath.
And inhale slowly through your nose,
Feeling your chest and belly expand.
And exhale gently through your mouth or nose,
Feeling your body relax.
Allow this breath to move in and out of you,
Releasing any stagnant energy from the night or any dreams,
Any feelings.
Inhale again through your nose and exhale gently through your mouth or your nose,
Letting that energy dissipate.
And one more round.
Inhale slowly through your nose and exhale gently through your mouth or nose,
Letting that energy dissipate.
And allow your breath to return to a state of relaxation.
The breath is moving through your body and think of the energy you want to bring to your day.
Think of your intention and use this as a sankalpa for your Nidra state and for your day.
This intention is energy that will follow you throughout your day.
It can be,
I will be present or I am grateful or I am living with ease and grace.
Whatever your intention is,
Take a moment now to think of it and repeat it three times.
And now,
In this beautiful morning,
Bring your awareness like a beam of sunlight to your body.
First,
Your right hand thumb,
Right hand index finger,
Right hand middle finger,
Right hand ring finger,
Right hand pinky finger,
Right palm,
Right wrist,
Forearm,
Elbow,
Upper arm,
Shoulder,
Right side of the chest,
Right side of the abdomen,
Right hip,
Right thigh,
Right knee,
Your shin,
Your ankle,
The sole of your foot,
The top of your right foot,
Your right pinky toe,
Fourth toe,
Third toe,
Middle toe,
And big toe.
Now bring that energy,
That sunlight beam,
To your left big toe,
Your left second toe,
Third toe,
Fourth toe,
Left pinky toe,
The left top of your foot,
The left sole of your foot,
Your ankle,
Your shin,
Knee,
Left thigh,
Left hip,
Left abdomen,
Left side of the chest,
Your left shoulder,
Left upper arm,
Left elbow,
Forearm,
Wrist,
Left palm,
Left hand little finger,
Ring finger,
Middle finger,
Index finger,
Left hand thumb,
Your right ear,
And your left ear,
Your right eyebrow,
Your left eyebrow,
Your right eye socket,
Your left eye socket,
Your right and left temples,
Your forehead,
Your right and left cheeks,
Your right nostril,
Left nostril,
Your nose,
Upper lip,
Lower lip,
Chin,
Your throat,
The right side of your neck,
The left side of your neck,
Back of your neck,
The back of your head,
Top of your head.
Feel that energy on your whole face,
Your whole head,
Your complete right side of the body,
From the fingers to the toes,
To the left side of the body,
Now your whole body and your whole awareness,
Feeling this morning beautiful sunlight energy surrounding your whole body and entering this yoga nidra state.
You are calm,
Centered,
And grounded.
You can rest here in complete awareness and know that this yoga nidra state will embody you throughout your day.
Repeat your sankalpa once more.
Amazing.
Now deepen your inhale and your exhale and feel the surface beneath you.
Know that your intention will carry you throughout your beautiful day and this state of calmness exists within you wherever and whenever you need it.
Deepen your breath and know when you open your eyes you are rejuvenated and ready to move throughout your day with intention and energy.
And whenever you are ready,
Open your eyes and have a beautiful day.
