Sit or lie down in a comfortable and supported way with the spine in neutral alignment.

Soften the gaze or close the eyes.

Breathe in and out of the nose using your belly breath or your long deep breath and let the breath come and go with ease.

When you breathe in,

Internally say to yourself,

Inhale.

When you breathe out,

Internally say to yourself,

Exhale.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Stay with it.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Inhale.

If your mind has wandered,

Bring it back.

Focus on the inhale and then the exhale.

Continue to internally repeat those words to yourself.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Feel yourself breathing.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Inhale.

Inhale.

Slowly release the meditation.

The breath continues to come and go with ease.

Without judgment,

Expectation,

Or control,

Take a moment to notice how you feel.

Take your time.

When you're ready,

Slowly open the eyes.
