Find a time and place where you will not be disturbed.
Sit or lay down and close your eyes.
Breathe normally as we use a countdown from 10 to 1 to gently bring you into a deeply relaxed state.

You are sitting under the shade of a spreading tree.
Before you,
A river flows,
Clear and gleaming in the sunlight.
Around you,
There are the gentle sounds of a late spring day,
Soft birdsong,
The sigh of leaves in the wind,
And the voice of the river.
You look at the river,
Movement of the sunlight.
The water flows on its journey down to the ocean,
Yet it is always there as you watch,
Timeless.
Its voice murmurs to you,
To be at peace.
It will float away the thoughts you wish to release until you are still inside.
So take a thought you want to let go of and toss it into the water.
It pops away on the current and sinks out of sight.
You return your gaze to the river and listen,
And the tranquility begins to slowly sink into you,
Moving up from your feet and legs.
It is warm and bright,
Soft and healing.
It centres in the place just under the heart,
Like a softly glowing jewel.
You feel yourself becoming still within,
Everything slows,
Your breath coming easily,
Your heartbeat calm and steady.
You are a part of the timelessness now,
Part of the endless moment.
Allow yourself to gently become that moment as you listen to the water,
And are still.
