Welcome to the Daily Insight.

My name is Fleur Chambers and I am delighted to be here with you today to help you tap into a quiet sense of confidence that exists within us all.

Often the busyness of life,

The unrealistic to-do lists we give ourselves each day,

And the high expectations we set ourselves can have a negative effect on our sense of confidence.

Feeling like we are unable to get everything done,

That we cannot please everyone,

And that we are often one step behind,

Can slowly erode our sense of confidence and self-worth.

Through the simple acts of intentionally slowing down,

Quietening the external noise,

And looking inwards,

We are able to reacquaint ourselves with that quiet place of confidence that exists within us all.

That place where we have a deep sense that we are enough.

Ironically,

It is through doing less and being more that we can realign ourselves with our natural state of inner confidence and acceptance.

Through meditation,

Mindfulness,

And a connection with our breath,

We can experience a sense of coming home to ourselves.

We can once again meet our wise self,

Our self that is naturally confident.

So beginning now by settling into a comfortable position.

This could be seated or lying down,

Whatever position you are naturally drawn towards today.

Closing down your eyes if you like,

Letting the landscape of your awareness turn inwards to the natural melody and movement of your inner world.

Scanning your physical body now for any places of tightness or tension.

Offering these places a few gentle nurturing breaths.

Imagining that you are breathing a warm sense of relaxation into these parts of your body.

Allowing a sense of softening to spread across your eyes,

Your jaw,

Your shoulders,

Your stomach.

Moving your awareness now to your breath,

This gentle life force that exists within each of us.

There is no need to manipulate your breath,

Just being curious and open as you guide your awareness to its gentle ebb and flow.

Noticing the air as it enters your nose.

Noticing the air as it leaves your mouth.

Noticing the gentle rise and fall of your chest.

Noticing the soft expanse of your belly as the air flows in and out.

Resting in the natural ebb and flow of your breath for a moment or two.

Just as the tide washes over the sand,

Your breath washes over you.

Surrendering into the idea that you are being breathed.

Coming home now to the more intimate details of your breath.

Noticing the finer qualities of your inhale.

Can you notice the gentle pause at the top of the inhale?

And being curious about the small details of your exhale.

And noticing the gentle pause at the bottom of your exhale.

Softening the edges of this cycle of breath a little more now.

And from this quiet place within,

I wonder,

Is there something you may wish to let go of before you are able to connect with your confident self?

Perhaps you hear a whisper from your heart to let go of self-doubt or self-criticism,

An old hurt or a particular worry.

Can you allow your exhale to be long and smooth now?

And within this exhale,

Can you let go of what stands in your way?

Can you let go of what stands between you and your sense of inner confidence?

With each exhale,

This limiting belief,

Self-doubt or worry is leaving your mind,

Body and heart.

Resting here in this felt sense of letting go for a moment or two.

Perhaps you notice a softening,

An opening,

A sense of spaciousness emerge from within this act of letting go.

Perhaps you notice a sense of lightness,

Of freedom or of ease.

Breathing into these sensations now,

Allowing them to permeate your entire being.

From here,

We can naturally welcome self-love,

Self-acceptance and peace,

The wise friends of self-confidence.

Moving your awareness now to your inhale,

Noticing that as you inhale,

Your chest is expanding at the front,

The back and the sides.

Can this sense of physical expansion also encourage a sense of expanded awareness and self-perception?

And so with each inhale,

We invite in,

We give life to self-love,

Self-acceptance and peace.

With each in breath,

Repeating silently in your mind,

Self-love,

Self-love.

Now with each in breath,

Repeating silently in your mind,

Self-acceptance,

Self-acceptance.

And finally,

With each in breath,

We welcome in peace.

Peace.

With the aid of your breath,

Allowing these sentiments to echo through your body,

Mind and heart.

And from here,

We invite in confidence,

Breathing in confidence,

Breathing out confidence.

Breathing in confidence,

Breathing out confidence.

Continuing to breathe in this way for a moment or two.

If confidence had a colour,

What would it be?

Breathing in this colour,

Breathing out this colour.

Imagining now that your whole body is surrounded by this colour.

Your whole body is basking in this felt sense of confidence.

And now we shall offer ourselves one final gift of confidence,

The gift of a smile.

This universal sign of warmth,

Acceptance and confidence.

This gesture that changes the way you interact with the world around you.

Beginning with a gentle smile on your face,

Allowing your lips to turn slightly upwards.

Allowing this smile to soften your face,

Softening across your eyes,

Your cheeks,

Your jaw.

Allowing this smile to move towards your chest and your heart.

Feeling its warmth.

Taking a nice deep breath in,

Allowing your chest and heart to feel open and ready to greet the world.

Lifting your chest as a gesture of confidence now.

Letting this felt sense of a smile and confidence reach into your stomach,

Removing any sense of tightness or worry.

Enjoying one nice deep confident breath here.

This sense of confidence moving into your legs.

All the way down to your feet and your 10 toes.

This sense of smile and confidence moving once more from your chest all the way down your arms to your hands and 10 fingers.

Can you feel this sense of smile,

This sense of confidence spread through your entire body?

Noticing any sense of vibrancy,

Of aliveness moving within you.

This is your confident self.

May you walk through your day with this sense of vibrancy,

This sense of being awake and alive to all that life has to offer.

Because right now there is nothing holding you back.

Enjoying three deep confident breaths now in your own time.

And beginning to offer your body any movements it needs.

And opening your eyes ready to embrace your day with confidence.
