Our meditation today is going to activate some of the areas of your brain that remind
Us that we are part of something bigger.
It's also going to prime your brain to look out for ways to help.
Now this does not replace actually going to do something good or something charitable,
So if you feel inspired after this to do something nice for someone or something,
Please go do
It.
But for now,
I want you to sit up nice and tall,
Shoulders back,
Have that sunflower
Like back,
Tall,
Proud,
Reaching for the heavens.
Begin to breathe in and out,
Becoming aware of your breath and your body,
And as you become
Aware of your body breathing,
This incredible vehicle that keeps you alive,
Take note that
Your body is this perfect combination of your parents' DNA,
The best parts of them passed
On to you,
Furthermore it was created just for you,
For your soul use.
Then become aware of how this body was nurtured by whoever raised you.
Make sure you had enough to eat,
Enough to drink,
Enough to do.
This body is now fully grown and is capable of helping others.
If you are tall,
You can reach things on top shelves.
If you are small,
You can get to those hard to reach places.
If you are strong,
You can carry things for others.
You can protect others.
If you give great hugs,
You can hold others.
If you have a great smile,
You can cheer others up.
If you can see well,
You can help others read.
Use the next few breaths to think of any ways that you can use your body to help others.
Now think of that brilliant brain of yours,
So smart that right now it is simultaneously
Breathing,
Beating your heart,
Digesting your food,
Contracting muscles to keep you upright
And listening to me.
Can you use all of these bits of brain power to help others?
Could you use your wisdom to counsel others?
Could you use any technical skills that you have to help a friend understand something
Or to do something?
Can you use your ability to hear to listen to someone who needs your ears?
Trust me,
There are plenty of people out there like this.
Use the next few breaths to think about how you might use your brain and your faculties
To help others.
Think about your social network now,
The many people that are in your life you may encounter
Today or tomorrow.
Everyone from the postman to the barista.
Your work colleagues to your fellow commuters.
Your partner,
Your friends,
Your family.
Think of all these wonderful people that exist in your life,
All these wonderful opportunities
To do something good.
Use the next few breaths to think about your relationship roster and just see if there's
Anyone that comes to mind that may need your help.
Now think of the air that you're breathing in and out.
Think of all the plants that make it happen.
Think of all the animals that do their part.
Think of the sun and the moon and contemplate the delicate dance that results in this life
Force that is air being so abundant on this planet.
Use the next few all-important breaths to think about how you may do your part for this
World that does so much for you.
Okay,
Slowly come back into the room and listen to the sounds of that room.
Become aware of how it feels to be in your body,
Sitting up tall,
And slowly blink those
Eyes open.
Now go out there and do something good for someone or something.
Namaste.
I hope that meditation has made you feel inspired to go do something good for someone.
And remember,
Charity starts at home,
So you can do something good for yourself by going
To check out my course,

As well as a whole lot of information on how
You can improve your life right now.
I hope to see you in there.
