Alright,

Welcome to this breath work practice.

Now this is a taster of my How to Breathe Yourself Better course that's here on Inside Timer.

But for now,

Let's get into this.

Let me just explain the pattern for you today.

Today we're going to be doing a breathing pattern that looks like this.

We're going to breathe in through the nose,

Out through the mouth.

Nice expansive inhale and then when you exhale,

Just let it all out.

No pause between the inhale and exhale.

Keep it rhythmic.

In and out,

In and out.

After a minute of breathing like that,

I'm going to ask you to hold your breath for 30 seconds.

You're welcome to breathe if you need to before then,

But try to hold your breath that time and see what it feels like.

Then after that breath hold,

You'll get a 20 second recovery breath before we do round 2.

Round 2 is exactly the same except we hold our breath for a minute.

And round 3,

We have a much shorter breathing pattern before we go into it.

Those are the only changes.

I'll be guiding you the whole way,

Letting you know when to breathe,

When to hold,

When to take your recovery breath and even the rhythm you should breathe at.
