Welcome.
I'm Teresa,
And I'm really glad you're here.
Let's take a quick moment to settle in.
Not by effort,
But by noticing.
Your body,
Your breath.
There's nothing you need to change.
Just noticing how you are here in this moment.
Today,
We're exploring something quiet but very important.
Allowing beauty to reach you.
For many people,
Especially in difficult or overwhelming times,
Beauty can feel complicated.
There can be a quiet hesitation.
A sense that if we let something good in,
We might be turning away from what hurts.
As though receiving something gentle means we're forgetting something important.
If that feels familiar,
Just notice it.
Not something to fix or push away,
Just as something your nervous system has learned.
But beauty is not denial.
It is nourishment.
It is one of the ways your nervous system remembers,
I am still here.
I am still part of life.
I still belong,
Even in this moment.
Begin by noticing your senses.
Not focusing hard,
Just allowing sensation to come forward.
The temperature of the air.
The feeling of fabric against your skin.
The sounds in the space around you.
Your nervous system is always listening.
Not just for what is wrong,
But for what is steady.
What is supportive.
What is safe enough.
Now gently bring to mind something that feels quietly beautiful.
Not something overwhelming.
Not something you have to reach for.
Something simple.
Maybe a color,
A memory of water or trees.
A moment of kindness.
A feeling of warmth.
And let that come into your awareness.
And notice what happens in your body.
The breath may soften.
The shoulders may drop slightly.
The jaw may release.
You don't have to make anything happen.
Just noticing.
If resistance or guilt arises,
That's okay.
That often means something inside you cares deeply.
You're not doing anything wrong.
You might quietly say to yourself,
It's safe to receive this.
Or I can care and still let this in.
Let the sensation of beauty land wherever it wants to land.
Even if it's subtle.
Even if it's brief.
That is enough.
Beauty doesn't replace grief.
But it gives your nervous system just enough support to stay present with it.
Stay here for a few breaths.
Letting something gentle reach you without effort.
Even in a complicated world,
Small moments of regulation matter.
Your nervous system doesn't need everything to be perfect in order to soften.
It simply needs moments of support.
Moments like this.
Take one more slow breath.
And gently begin to notice the space around you again.
The sounds,
The air,
The steady presence of your body.
You are allowed to receive.
If this meditation resonated with you,
You're very welcome to explore my course,
Grief,
Beauty and Belonging.
In that course,
We gently explore how grief and beauty can exist together in a sensitive nervous system.
And how belonging can include you just as you are.
You're welcome there whenever,
If it feels right for you.
And as you return to your day,
Remember as always,
You are loved.
You are whole.
You are enough.
