Let's take a short moment to soften into rest.
Feel the surface beneath you,
Supporting your body fully.
Take one slow breath in,
And let it fall out gently.
You are safe to let go now.
Beginning at the top of your body,
Notice your jaw.
Invite it to loosen.
Soften your shoulders,
Allowing them to drop a little.
Feel the chest and belly ease as the breath becomes softer.
Move your awareness down through your arms,
Your hips,
Your legs,
And all the way to your feet.
Let each part release its grip on the day.
There's nothing left you need to carry.
Let's breathe three gentle breaths together.
Inhale,
Gathering what remains of the day,
And exhale,
Laying it down.
Inhale,
Softening into stillness,
And exhale,
Trusting the night to hold you.
Inhale,
Peace,
And exhale,
Rest.
