Hello lovely people,
It's Tansy here and tonight I have for you a meditation for deep sleep in minutes.
Come with me for a stroll in nature,
Let go of stress,
Set down the concerns of the day and fall into a blissful sleep to help you restore your physical and emotional energy reserves.
So,
For now,
This is your time to relax,
Replenish and reset with a soothing night's sleep.
I gently invite you now to return to yourself,
To your body,
To your breath.
And to the peace that lives quietly within you.
Let my voice be a companion as you ease into rest,
To your breath.
Guiding you softly towards sleep.
Make yourself comfortable now,
Feel the support beneath you,
Calm,
Steady and unwavering.
Feel the quiet around you,
Calm,
Steady and unwavering.
Spacious and calm,
This is your place to rest.
You have done enough.
There is nothing more to strive for,
Nothing to fix,
Nothing to prove.
You are safe with me,
And you are free.
This is your time to return,
Not to who you were told to be.
Beneath all the effort,
Beneath all the striving,
This is your time now.
Permit the weight of the day to begin to slip away.
Let your thoughts slow down,
Let your energy and bring your attention gently to your toes.
Imagine a wave of warmth arriving,
Softening every muscle,
Every nerve ending.
With each breath,
This warmth helps you to sink deeper into rest.
Allow the soles of your feet to release the last steps you've taken.
Let your toes unclench,
Your arches ease.
There is nothing left for you to carry tonight.
The warmth moves into your ankles now,
Surrounding your joints with comfort,
Flowing upwards into your calves.
Feel the tightness unwind,
These muscles have carried you far.
Into your knees and thighs now,
Release the holding,
Let your legs grow long,
Strong,
Steady,
Rooted like the earth itself.
As the wave of warmth reaches your hips and pelvis,
Notice all that you carry here,
Let it melt.
Let the bracings dissolve and trust that your body knows how to heal.
Now,
Feel this healing energy moving into your heart,
Let the striving dissolve,
Let your heartbeat become a rhythm of restoration.
As the warmth travels upwards into your shoulders,
So much has been carried here,
But you can set it all down,
Let it slide away,
Allow your arms to release into stillness.
Now,
As the warmth flows into your elbows,
And finally into each finger,
To your neck and throat,
The centre of your voice,
Relax,
Soften here,
Release the need to say or hold anything more.
Let your jaw loosen,
And the space between your brows,
Forehead softens,
I am here for you,
And you are healing.
One breath,
Your energy can restore,
The warmth you've welcomed.
Just enough to remind you that you are held,
With every breath traced more fully,
Like being cradled by the Earth,
And since you're feeling a little more at ease,
As if by magic,
You find yourself taking a wander into a peaceful woodland.
It's late afternoon,
And you are ready to leave the day behind,
Move into a state of deep peace,
And being in nature is a wonderful way to wind down.
I know you have done your best,
This is your time to immerse yourself in peace and natural beauty.
As you notice the plants and wildlife that surround you,
You enjoy that fringe of your pathway,
Signaling the change of seasons.
See the oak trees in this wood,
Their strong trunks dappled with light green moths,
Their leaves reach outward in shifting tones,
Their leaves are smooth,
Their leaves drift from green and russet orange.
This year,
The oaks are heavy with acorns,
Each one nestled snugly in a setting.
A warm,
Glossy brown,
Pink,
One of these acorns in his mouth,
His fluffy tail flickers like a plume,
Blink with playful precision as he climbs.
As you wander into the woods,
Relaxed,
You become the earthy scent of bark and fallen leaves.
You notice in how deeply untaken this moment is just for you.
It's almost as though the entire woodland exists purely for you.
Each step takes you further from the worry,
The beauty,
The details,
The black and white flesh of a magpie's feather against the dark green pine,
On shadowed branches,
The light among the trees is fading now as day turns gently to night.
With each exhale,
The last remnants of tension.
With each inhale,
As you continue your gentle wander,
The path becomes softer underfoot,
Almost as though the earth itself is carrying you forward with ease.
You notice how the woodland around you shifts subtly,
More ferns here,
Their delicate fronds unfurling like green feathers,
And the gentle trickle of a stream winding nearby.
You pause for a moment to listen,
And you hear a quiet song as it flows over smooth stones,
Still and timeless,
You can almost imagine it whispering to you,
It's always moving,
Always flowing,
That you,
Too,
Are carried along effortlessly in its current.
The air is cool,
But not cold,
Filled with the freshness of evening.
You draw a long,
Nourishing breath,
And with each inhale,
Your lungs feel clearer,
Lighter.
Each exhale releases the last fragments of tension.
Dissolving into the forest air.
Shafts of fading light break through the canopy,
Painting the woodland floor in golden pool,
With each step taking you deeper into peace,
Deeper into stillness.
There is a clearing just ahead,
Ringed with tall birch trees.
Their pale trunks shine in the dusk,
Smooth and silver,
Their branches swaying gently as they're waving to welcome you.
You step into the circle they form,
And feel held by their presence,
Surrounded by guardians of calm.
You notice the gentle chorus of the woodland,
The distant call of an owl,
The rustle of small creatures settling into their burrows,
The whisper of leaves brushing against each other,
Everything in the forest is preparing for rest,
And so too are you.
You linger a little while longer,
Feeling the serenity of this space seep into your bones.
Every sound,
Every scent,
Every shade of colour around you is soothing your nervous system,
Guiding you into a softer state of being.
With each step,
With each breath,
You move more fully into ease,
More fully into peace.
You feel safe,
You feel calm,
You feel held.
As you continue wandering,
You leave the birch circle behind and follow a narrow,
Winding path.
Trees leaning closer here,
Their branches arching above to form a natural canopy.
Like a secret passageway made just for you,
The ground beneath your feet is soft and quiet.
You notice the air shifting,
Warmer somehow,
Touched with the faintest fragrance of wood smoke.
With curiosity,
You follow the path a little further,
Guided by the glow of fading daylight.
And soon,
You see it through the tree,
A gentle amber light flickers in the distance.
At first,
It's just a glimmer,
But as you draw closer,
The shape of a little cottage begins to appear.
It looks as though it grew from the earth itself.
Against the deepening dusk,
It drifts upward from the chimney,
Curling lazily into the night sky.
Familiar scent reaches you,
You feel a wave of comfort,
As though you're being invited home.
The closer you come,
The stronger the feeling of welcome grows.
The woodland hushes around you,
As if the whole forest is guiding you gently to this place.
You feel your heart lighten,
Your body soften.
The cottage is waiting just for you.
Sanctuary of warmth,
Safety and deep,
Nourishing breath.
Pause for a moment,
Simply taking in the view.
Spilling across the ground,
Gentle flicker of firelight through the window panes.
A quiet presence of the trees that stand.
Soon,
You'll step inside,
Leaving behind the day completely,
Ready to sink into the deepest sleep.
Feeling completely at ease,
Your body grows heavier,
Your mind calmer.
The more you place your hand on the wooden latch,
It opens easily,
As though this cottage has been waiting just for you.
You step inside,
Greeted instantly by the gentle crackle of a fire.
The air is warm,
Fragrant with wood smoke and something sweet,
Perhaps lavender drying in bunches by the earth.
A sense of home fills you,
Deep and comforting.
This is your place of rest.
You notice a chair by the fire,
Draped with a soft blanket.
For a moment,
You sit there,
Letting the warmth seep into your muscles,
Softening and loosening what remains of the day's effort.
The flames flicker gently,
Their light dancing on the walls.
Each flicker feels like a lullaby for your nervous system,
Reminding you that it's safe to let go now.
When you are ready,
You rise and move towards a bedroom tucked just beyond.
The door creaks slightly as you open it,
Revealing a space that feels like a sanctuary just for you.
The bed is large,
Dressed in soft linens,
The kind that invite you to sink into them fully.
The quilt lies across it,
Thick yet light and patterned with calming colours that soothe the eyes.
And the pillows are just the way you like them.
You slip into the bed,
Feeling the mattress embrace you,
Just the right balance of support and softness.
You pull the quilt over yourself,
Cocooning you in warmth.
And as the crackle of the fire drifts from the other room,
A steady rhythm that blends with the slowing beat of your heart.
Here,
In this cottage,
Nothing is required of you.
There is nothing to fix,
Nothing to change.
Here,
In this cottage,
Where your body can rest deeply,
And your spirit can restore its sleep,
Outside,
The woodland night continues its quiet song.
The wind in the trees,
The occasional call of an owl,
Whisper.
But inside,
You are safe.
Inside,
You are wrapped.
With every breath,
You drift deeper into the softness of the bed.
With every exhale,
Your body grows heavier,
Your toes begin to soften,
Releasing all tension and effort.
Your legs grow heavy and deeply relaxed,
Relaxed,
Gently holding them in place.
Your belly rises and falls in a natural,
Easy rhythm,
Steady and calm like the tide of the sea.
Your body carries you closer to sleep,
Guiding you deeper.
