Welcome to Take Care Coaching guided meditation.
To begin our beach imagery please find a comfortable position either sitting or lying down.
You may want to loosen any tight clothing and adjust your position so you can relax.
Once settled let your eyes softly close.
Now let an image form in your mind's eye of a beach.
It could be one you've been to before or it can be completely imaginary.
What matters is that this beach is a place where you feel safe and relaxed.
Once you have the image of a beach in your mind's eye,
Imagine you're walking on this beach.
It's a beautiful clear warm sunny day.
You can hear and see the waves up ahead.
You take in the beautiful blue color of the water.
The air is warm and comfortable.
You feel a pleasant cool breeze.
Picture all the details of this relaxing place.
You gaze towards the water and see the waves washing up onto the sand and then flowing back down.
You feel relaxed and peaceful just taking in all your surroundings.
Notice the birds that are also enjoying the beach.
Some fly overhead.
Some are diving into the water looking for fish.
Another bird simply sit quietly.
Take in other details that make this a retreat for you such as the warm sun shining in the sky,
The sunlight sparkling and dancing on the waves.
Perhaps notice patterns the waves leave in the sand.
Imagine yourself walking closer towards the water.
As you approach you can feel the mist from the water on your skin.
As you walk closer to the waves you feel the sand becoming wet.
A wave washes over the sand towards you and touches your toes before receding.
As you step forward more waves wash over your feet.
The water is a wonderful relaxing temperature.
Continue to stroll along the beach free of worries,
Free of stress.
Continue to soak in the sun,
The breeze and the waves.
You feel peaceful and relaxed allowing your stress to melt away.
When you're ready to return from your beach vacation do so slowly.
You can blink your eyes open,
Come back to the room where you are and take a moment to notice your surroundings here.
Notice the colors around you,
Hear the sounds and if you like you can take a gentle stretch.
