Hi this is Suzie,
Thanks for joining me today.
So you might begin by finding a position that feels comfortable,
Allowing your body to settle just as it is.
Perhaps taking a gentle breath in and a slow breath out.
In times like these it can be easy to feel fear or anger,
As though the world feels heavier more chaotic than usual.
You might notice tension rising or a sense of division around you and if any of that feels familiar you might simply acknowledge it without needing to push it away.
You might begin to notice the support beneath you,
The chair or the floor,
The steady presence holding your body and perhaps imagining gentle roots growing from the soles of your feet,
Reaching down into the earth,
Not forcing but simply allowing.
And with each breath out you might allow any heaviness that's not yours to carry gently move down through these roots,
Released and held and supported.
Now you might bring your awareness to the space around your heart,
Perhaps imagining a soft warm light there,
Steady,
Calm,
A quiet presence of love.
And with each breath you might allow that warmth to grow just a little and perhaps you might sense that you are not alone in this.
Across the world many people wish for peace,
Many people are longing for kindness,
For understanding and as you notice this you might allow yourself to rest in the warmth of your own heart,
Noticing how returning to love even in small ways can feel steady and grounding and strong.
You might imagine small lights appearing across the world one by one,
Each one a heart choosing compassion and perhaps you might imagine these lights gently connecting,
Forming a quiet web of love across the earth,
Remembering that when we stand together we are strong,
That love is a steady strength that connects us,
That reminds us that we're all in this together and as you rest here you might sense how returning to love creates a deeper kind of power,
Not power over but power with,
A strength that grows when we remember that we are sharing this.
For a few moments you might simply rest here,
Feeling your roots steady beneath you,
Your heart warm and present,
Connected to others who are also choosing peace,
Perhaps carrying this quiet knowing within you that even the small acts of kindness and the small moments of compassion help strengthen the whole and when you feel ready,
Gently returning to your breath,
To your body,
Bringing this steady presence of love with you into the rest of your day.
Thank you for listening.
Namaste.
