Autumn meditation.
Relax,
Release,
Retract.
Nature knows.
Take this chance to slow,
To pause and move deeply into self,
Rebirth and nourishment.
Finding yourself somewhere comfortable to sit or lie and rest,
Allowing the eyes to close softly,
The body to be supported,
Dropping into a sacred moment,
A moment just for you.
Feeling the soft,
Warm breath travelling in and out.
Your heart soften and your body slow in gratitude as you prioritise a moment for you.
Breathing in and letting out a long,
Slow sigh.
A sigh of releasing summer,
Dropping into presence and releasing the haste and bustle of the summer months.
Again,
Breathing deeply and then sighing and letting go.
The breath showing us the cycle of giving and receiving.
That consuming and releasing are part of nature's cycle,
Hence part of us.
Slow down,
My love.
Allow yourself this chance to breathe and be.
Be held by nature,
Held by the surface you rest on.
And as the colours of nature change from vibrant summer hues to muted,
Gentle autumn colours of gold and bronze and brown,
Oranges and yellow ochre,
Your mind is soothed by this transition.
Taking this chance to breathe deeply.
As you do,
You reflect on the summer.
You celebrate your harvest and get ready to close off anything that feels incomplete.
See yourself energetically finishing the harvesting of your spiritual,
Emotional and physical energetic endeavours.
Tending to your energetic garden.
Beginning to gather all you need so that you may get ready to nurture and cosy up.
From this space of reflection,
Let's take an autumn walk.
You begin walking past field upon field of stubble and harvested crops.
Where once golden,
Abundant crops grew earlier in the year,
You're met with fields of stubble and dark,
Muddy tracks.
The necessary contrast that nature shares with us to remind ourselves that the resting of the field is as important as the growing of the crops.
What are you ready to rest this season?
As you continue,
You're met with crisp leaves now scattering your path.
Leaves in glorious colours provide a blanket of brown on the earth.
Decaying leaves feeding the earth.
All having served a purpose,
But now ready to be released and transmuted back to the earth.
What are you ready to release?
To allow to die away and decay back into the earth to be transmuted.
What are you ready to dissolve?
Lay down to rest.
The clearing of the space makes way for glorious red berries on the rowan tree.
Acorns and conkers showing that through this rest and by making way,
We can continue the cycle of life.
Focusing on the seeds and growth that truly matters.
This simplification allows us to slow.
Nature guiding us to align to what is important in this season of our lives.
To begin to create a space of nourishment for the winter months ahead.
Breathing deeply,
Placing your hand on your heart.
Tuning in and asking yourself,
What is important for me in this season?
What do I need this autumn?
Breathe and allow.
You walk on feeling the damp,
Dewy air as you breathe.
The wind begins to pick up and the leaves swirl around you.
You know the winds of change are here and you are ready to welcome them in.
Relax,
Release and breathe.
Time to pull back from where you expended yourself this summer and re-centre,
Retract,
Come home.
You continue soaking up the earthy smells and soft ground beneath your feet.
You witness the spider's webs glistening on the branches beside you.
An intricate woven structure glistening with drops of dew.
This feminine weaving encouraging you to admire all you have woven so far.
Breathing deeply and fully.
Let us use this season as a reminder to tend to our energetic gardens of life.
To shed what is no longer needed for our spiritual,
Emotional and physical wellbeing.
Let's embrace and allow the candles and twinkling lights and warm fires to nourish us.
Let's stoke our internal fires and create a cosy space to rest.
Again,
Feeling the warmth of your breath travelling in and out.
Feeling the relaxation wash over you from head to toe.
Breathing in,
Sighing.
Relax,
My love.
Embrace this cycle,
Align and find peace.
For fall is here and ready to catch you.
Slowly stretching,
Yawning.
Beginning to guide yourself back.
Gifting your body what it needs.
Slow,
Soft,
Gentle movements.
And when you feel ready,
You may come back and open your eyes.
With so much love,
From my heart to yours,
Namaste.
